The President talked over Lesley Stahl in a relentless blast of rhetoric that seemed more rally than interview
......the Presidents interview had effectively the same impact as a rally; it allowed him to bulldoze his chief enemy, the media, while airing his own points at ceaseless length.....
Lesley Stahls interview with Trump was an undeniable get; hed been scarce on mainstream media since around the time he appeared on tape with NBCs Lester Holt and indicated hed fired former FBI Director James Comey in part due to the Russia investigation.
But the interview seemed governed by two motives, both of which played into the hands of a media-savvy President whose refusal to play by typical rules of engagement has been at the center of his rise.

Wow, that is more effective than any political ad or rally.
And that despite the interview must have been grossly edited. He didn’t even demand the thing be unedited and he still looks spectacular??
“But our President stood his ground, made his points, and beautifully repelled her rude questioning.”
TBH, I didn’t even know 60 minutes was still on the air. Haven’t seen it in 25 years or so.
I remember Trump’s first couple of press conferences after he was sworn in and the hostile and rude questions coming from the enemedia....Trump b!tch slapped them something silly and then said he actually enjoyed the back and forth. I knew then they were in for a world of hurt ;)
He continues to play them like a fiddle. Groucho to Margaret Dumont. Yogi Bear to Ranger Smith. Festus Haggis to Doc Adams. Any other comparison you might care to make that I missed.
And THOSE were the segments that made it to air. I wonder what got left on the cutting room floor.
SAME!
Graham and McConnel seem to be catching on, given some of the things they did during the Kavanaugh confirmation process. And Senator Cassidys recent handling of the harpy with her two kids was very Trump-ish.

Trump is teaching the GOP to Win!
Yet another powerful reminder as to *why* we had to elect President Trump.
Such a delight after years of watching milquetoast replicans prostrate themselves before the media, and anyone else who demanded it loudly enough, other than the actual voters.
Amusing that the author chose to focus on climate change, of all stupid liberal scams. And, as predictable as daylight, the dem writing jumped with all four feet right onto an issue that nobody cares about.
According to the Marist Institute, all of 38% of the voters factored climate change into their decision in 2016.
How I wish Andrew Breitbart were here for this. He spoke about conservatives always playing defense, and what we really needed to do was find it in us to play offense.
Well, dear Andrew, you got your wish. Bigly.
“How I wish Andrew Breitbart were here for this. “
#MeToo. I’ve often told people that Trump is extraordinary not superman. He can’t do it all himself...but it is. He just may have a uniform under his suit with an S on it.
I’m rarely gobsmacked by someone—I’m a cynic by nature but this guy is a machine. He must have been sent by God. There is no other explanation.

“I wish you could go to Iceland to see the ice breaking off and the seas rising!” LOL. . what a ditsy old nipped and tucked hag. . .time to pack it in Grandma with that chicken neck and old lady quiver in her voice. Go bake some cookies for the grandkids, honey. You got no business talkin to the President. . .you ain’t in his league.
President Trump must be using my first rule of engagement. What an honor.
“Lesley was awful.”
YUP, she Stahl’d out doing a tail slide...
“but I had to switch it off. That Lesley Stall was so obnoxious.”
I agree. Unfortunately I had it on while my wife and I were having dinner. When she began with the global warming crap and he gave a judicious answer, there is warming but it do not think it is man made, she immediately began arguing with him, I blew up, ran to the TV and screamed out GFY Stahl. My wife told me to turn it of before I had a heart attack over that harpy.

You rounded the bases quite well. Some of the alleged exchanges between Winston Churchill and Lady Astor come to mind, such as; “Winston, you’re drunk ... but Ma’am, tomorrow I’ll be sober but you’ll still be ugly”.
The kids are being used as tools by a person that doesn’t realize that she’s being used as a tool... How ironic.

Great interview by Trump - he really seemed prepared with the facts, and compared himself to Obama when Leslie tried to trap him. Milania was excellent as well. Great weekend for the Trumps !!!
