I know that "shotgun" is the first thing that comes to mind, but clearly you've never been duck hunting. Do you know how high drones can fly, and what the effective range of a shotgun is?
Drone hovering over your teenage daughter as she suns herself poolside? Sure. Open ground between Mexico and the U.S.? You'll probably never even see it or hear it as it cruises over your head at 500'.

A DJI Phantom can fly at 1600 feet if you override the 400 foot Altitude Limit. You cant even see it from the ground at that height. They cruise at 22-30 mph. A shotgun isnt going to hit it.
