Freed American pastor Andrew Brunson met and prayed with President Trump in the Oval Office Saturday, thanking him for having "really fought for us" -- a day after his release from house arrest in Turkey.

“Lord God I ask that you pour out your Holy Spirit on President Trump–that you give him supernatural wisdom to accomplish all the plans you have for this country, and for him . I ask that you give him wisdom , enough to lead this country to righteousness. I ask that you give him perseverance and endurance and courage to stand for truth. I ask that you protect him from slander , from enemies and those who would undermine…I ask that you make him a great blessing to this country and fill him with your wisdom and strength and perseverance and we bless him and may he be a great blessing to our country, in Jesus name, we bless you …Amen.”

I was so very happy to see that photograph of the newly freed pastor praying with Mr. Trump. I was touched in my soul.
I know Trump does some of this for theater, I know, but so what? It’s done to send a message. Donald Trump knows that most American Christians want to know that the ideals of the Bible are indeed understood and promoted with this White House.
Maybe; maybe not.
But the timing sure is worth something.
We either accept weaknesses in good people or we have to tear pages out of the Bible.
