Kyrsten Sinema's anti-war activist past under scrutiny as she runs for Senate

Democratic Rep. Kyrsten Sinema's past ties to far-left groups are resurfacing as she campaigns to win Arizona's Senate race against her Republican opponent, Rep. Martha McSally. Sinema is running on her Congressional record as a hawk on military spending and defense, proclaiming in an ad she would do "whatever it takes" to keep America safe and boasting that she fought for "billions for military spending."

But the Democratic congresswoman also has an extensive past as a progressive activist. Her events and associations in opposing the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan -- and her early years as a Democratic lawmaker in Arizona -- frequently brought her into contact with the left-wing fringe, a KFile review finds.

Sinema, with her nearly 14-year legislative history, six as a state representative, one as a state senator, and almost six years as a member of Congress wants to run on her record in the House of Representatives. But Republican groups and her opponent have sought to make her judgment an issue, highlighting her liberal activism and anti-war work in ads.

Yep, bus track tires all over her face at this point. The one I’m concerned about is Heller here in Nevada. Looks like he’s got a good chance, and I know Blackburn is fine in TN (thank you, Taylor Swift). So I would guestimate at least 3 senate seats picked up. More would just mean more MSNuthinButCommie meltdown to watch and laugh at.

True. Bad week for this Democrat. She has been found to be calling Arizona people “crazy” and Arizona “meth lab”.

And now this.

Code Pink visited Communist countries Cuba and Venezuela to visit with and praise their leaders. Code Pink sponsored an Iraqi propagandist to tour the country with ridiculous claims that our troops committed atrocities.

Code Pink gave money and supplies to terrorists in Fallujah after the civilians had been evacuated but before the huge battle we fought there.

Code Pink protested US Marines in Berkley where even Comedy Central made fun of them. (Video includes scenes of a typical Code Pink protest)

Notice Kyrsten Sinema's clipboard in her famous "Code Pink" outfit. She's not just a participant but an organizer, addressing the crowd.

Senate Dem hopeful Kyrsten Sinema said ‘I don’t care’ if people go to fight for Taliban against US

Lukas Mikelionis | Fox News
Oct 12, 2018

U.S. Democratic Senate hopeful Kyrsten Sinema said “I don’t care” if people go and fight for the Taliban in Afghanistan in a newly resurfaced radio interview and co-hosted a radio show with a conspiracy theorist who claimed the September 11, 2001 terror attacks were perpetrated by the government, Fox News can reveal.

Sinema appeared on a radio show in February 2003 hosted by Ernest Hancock, a libertarian activist who presented “The Valley of the Sun” program on a local Arizona radio station.

During the interview, Sinema told the host that she didn’t object to individuals going abroad and fighting for groups hostile to the U.S.

“As an individual, if I want to go fight in the Taliban army, I go over there, and I’m fighting for the Taliban, I’m saying that’s a personal decision,” Hancock told Sinema, who was then a Green Party activist.

Per the RevLeft Gay News Website

Kyrsten Sinema (D) US House of Representatives, Arizona

Sinema has served in both chambers of the Arizona Legislature and, if elected to represent Arizona’s 9th District tomorrow, stands to become the first out bisexual in Congress. Honored by the Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood, the Stonewall Democrats and the Arizona League of Conservation Voters, Sinema has taken strong stances on marriage equality, equal-opportunity programs and the DREAM Act. A former social worker, she says she got into politics because, “I felt like my hands were tied… The political structure, society and laws weren’t allowing me to have the space to create the self-sufficiency for my clients.”
