Rapper Kanye West received praise from the National Rifle Association for articulating his position on the Second Amendment when he met with President Trump at the White House on Thursday.
#Kanye couldnt have said it better: Illegal guns are the problem, and we have the right to bear arms, the NRA tweeted. The #NRAs nearly six million members are glad to see a celebrity who gets it, and who is willing to stand with the #2A.

A key point of clarity in the remarkable White House meeting today: “Illegal guns are the problem, and we have the right to bear arms.”
Kanye is daring the racists.
It helps to have someone other than what is considered the poster boy for Conservatism, to deliver this message.
Kanye can probably reach folks we can’t.
Yes, and seems that gun control, with focus on cities with large black populations, like Chicago, is racist in its intent and practice. Same with states like California and Hawaii, denying rights, which disportionately affect minorities.
Well yea. Sounds like he actually does read. Unlike CNN.
That’s why you see the hysterics in the media. They must marginalize him or otherwise some blacks are going to start wandering off the mind plantation.
The black cultural stigma is the only thing holding that wing of their party together and therefore must be rigidly enforced. God knows it’s not how wonderful their policies have been for African Americans the last 50 years.
I still have to disagree, illegal gun USERS are the problem. Guns just are, they are neither legal or illegal.
Kanye and I have no use for Ray Nagan.
WRONG. No gun should be “illegal.” NRA helping the gun-banners again.

Dumbest comment of the month, so far.
I was actually shocked when he said that so succinctly. It’s absolutely true that virtually no violent crimes in urban America are committed with legally-obtained firearms. Gun control has zero impact on the problem of inner-city violence.
Kanye said Many things,
Not just Guns.
Good Job.
He’s already been called a “token negro” by blacks on TV. Their words, not mine.
Whats an illegal gun? Is it one that came from another country without proper paperwork? No that cant be right. That would be an undocumented gun.
Its wrong for the NRA to hide behind Kanyes untruth.
Illegal guns are not the problem. People using unjustified lethal force is the problem.
Its absolutely medieval to attribute evil to things and not the people who do evil regardless of the weapon they use.
Legislatures can ban certain classes of guns and make them illegal. California has done this with the AR15 and other so-called assault weapons. High power competition is illegal there because these rifles are illegal purchase. Firearms competition harms no one. Yet, we have been told it is the problem. You see its the illegal guns.
The NRA knows better.
Where is Kayne’s NIKE sponsorship? Didn’t he just put it all on the line for what he believes today in the Oval office?
He already has an Adidas sponsorship. His signature sneaker is the “Adidas Yeezy Boost” if you, as I was, were wondering what the heck a “Yeezy Ideation Center” was supposed to be. I’m still wondering.
He’s eccentric for sure but God Bless him for supporting our President and our Constitution. Stupendous.
By every other measure, Kanye exemplifies unheralded courage — the MSM’s untold story.
The MSM is the Country’s greatest threat.
