The husband of “Fox and Friends” co-host Ainsley Earhardt filed for divorce on Wednesday — just a day after she announced the couple’s separation amid claims that he had an affair, The Post has learned.
William Proctor brought the contested proceeding to Manhattan Supreme Court, meaning he expects a fight over money or custody of their 2-year-old daughter.
“I am devastated about this situation and did not envision this for the future of our family,” he told The Post.
Earhardt, 42, and Proctor, 34, married six years ago.

Shania married her best friend’s husband.
It sounds so good. But once I finish taking care of people all day and they are in bed, I enjoy my time so much it’s hard to just go to bed.

Sometimes strange stuff happens just when 2 people are thrown together a lot. Not saying they should give in to it, what’s wrong is wrong. But sometimes people just do weird things out of loneliness, resentment, ego, or just plain horniness. I’ve known of a couple of affairs that just seemed to be plain weakness and loneliness more than anything, although OF COURSE morality should prevail (but doesn’t in all cases).
I knew a couple in college where the guy cheated (briefly) with her best friend. The “friend” was (in my eyes) not at all attractive or appealing, I could not begin the grasp the situation, even before talking morality. Amazingly, the original couple stayed together somehow, worked it out (so far as I know), and they are still married nearly 4 decades later. I haven’t seen them in decades, but reports from mutual friends are that they have been happy together. I never could understand either his behavior or her willingness to get past it. People can be a mystery.
It doesn’t matter how beautiful a woman is, if she’s not there for you. Not saying this is the reason, just tossing it out as a possibility.

You remember Hannity’s friend, the country singer Sara Evans? She and her husband accused each other of cheating. I don’t know if either accusation is true.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Proctor claims Ainsley had an affair too.
He denies it. Only they know the truth.

I looked up Ainsley’s first husband, Kevin McKinney. Look what I found:

Ainsley Earhardt was hired by Fox News in 2007 and the couple moved to New York City. McKinney got a job working in medical sales when they relocated the city. According to his LinkedIn page, he was a territory sales manager for CR Bard, a company that manufactures and markets medical technologies.
But the move was not a successful one personally for McKinney and Earhardt. The couple decided to divorce in 2009. They remained quiet about the reasons for it. But there was speculation that infidelity was the root cause, and that McKinney had strayed.
