The purpose of a Politician is to keep the public frightened of an imaginary booger-man that only the politician can protect you from.
What we need is a great big carbon tax of say, $10 per gal on gas, collected at the pump and turned over to the UN so they can build a great big army to enforce social justice and peace. Plus, we need to stop using coal, oil and gas to run big industry. We should convert to wind, solar, tread mills and fairy dust. In addition to keeping the peace by enforcing open borders, godless socialism, social justice, the right to marry the person or goat you love regardless of 57 genders he/she/it may be, free medical care, free abortion, free housing, free internet, free cell phones, free lunch and fria cervezas for all, the UN army can ensure that reparations are paid to all people of color whose ancestors were all oppressed by all privileged white people. Oh yeah, and I want a pony, a new bike and a Red Ryder BB gun.
Oh come on, they’ve been saying it will soon be too late to save the world and yet we never seem to hit that deadline where it’s too late. I’ve been waiting forever for that so lefty media can finally stop worrying about it.

Tariffs on China and India are the best carbon tax. China and India produce the most pollution by far. They over produce products, homes and pollution. If the US puts pollution tariffs on these two countries they will grow in a “sustainable way” which is better for the world and for them. Right now they are turning into an economic and environmental disaster. The US is relatively clean.
