Blue Wave Fizzles: Martha McSally Now Leads Krysten Sinema By 6 Points In Arizona

After the news of Marsha Blackburn opened up an 8 point lead on Phil Breseden in Tennessee, Trumpthusiasm has now spread to Arizona.

A new poll shows Republican Martha McSally is now on top of Kyrsten Sinema by 6 points in the race to replace Jeff Flake.

Phoenix based ABC15 reports:

“A new poll of Arizona’s contested Senate race shows front-runner Republican Martha McSally increasing her lead over Democrat Kyrsten Sinema.

In the latest ABC15/OH Predictive Insights poll, McSally has a six-point edge on Sinema, 47 percent to 41 percent. Eight percent said they had yet to decide on a candidate.

“What we saw all year was Republicans were less united compared to Democrats, who were more united or fully united,” Noble said. “So whether they disliked Trump or had issues with the establishment, now what we’ve seen is [the] Kavanaugh confirmation process has really brought all those Republicans home and has solidified the Republican base, hence why you’re seeing all the favorable numbers toward McSally.”

If we increase our seats in the US Senate, we will get a new Attorney General, who WILL go after these violent anarchists with everything he’s got. I am talking 20 year jail sentences, huge fines etc. We basically destroy their lives.

Senate is more important but House is hugely important.
If the left wins, the first word will be "Impeachment"

Either way , we need to do the leg work
Get your right-leaning friends and relatives registered.
Remind them to vote and drive them to the polls if needed.
Otherwise prepare to watch Majority Leader Pelosi's ugly mug on TV all day every day.

She’s nothing more than a John McCain/Lisa Murkowski style RINO.

Even John McCain voted for every single Trump judicial nominee, which is more than you can say for almost all Democrats. Bottom line: Worst Republican is still better than best Democrat.

I agree that the worst Republican is still better than a Rat because we need The GOP bodies to control the Senate.

Having said that, McCain was the WORST GOP senator EVER, followed by disgraced almost ex-senator Saint Jeffy Flake.

I’m not a big fan of McSally, as I suspect many here are not. She’s McCain in a dress. But Synema is a crazy radical who is dangerous enough as a House member.

One of them already tried to assassinate 10 percent of the elected Republicans in Congress.

When you read polls, don't just look at the numbers; look at the peripherals and the trend lines.

I saw John Fund on TV recently talking about a recent Washington Post poll. He broke down the number of people polled (300 and some) and the number of districts polled, and noted that that amounted to 39 people per district. "That's not polling," he said. "That's throwing darts at the wall."

Who is polled and how many is one factor that needs to be considered. Another is trends. During Maryland's gubernatorial race four years ago, Anthony Brown led pretty much every poll. But I kept telling people Larry Hogan would win, because I saw the way it was trending. Each poll had Brown with a slightly smaller lead than the last one.

Hogan won.

The trend line in virtually every poll, including those that lean left and tend to oversample Democrats, is moving in a Republican direction. Whether it's generic ballot, right track/wrong track, presidential approval, or the individual races, they all seem to be moving in a Republican direction.

That would indicate that there is no "blue wave" (except for Ichiro Suzuki's Japanese baseball team), and if you think the left is unhinged now, what happens if the "blue wave" doesn't occur, as polls are starting to indicate?

I get most of my polling info from FReeper LS, who watches these things pretty closely and seems to have a good handle on them.

Still 4 weeks out - anything can happen!

I have local Channel 12 on here in Phoenix. This is the first time I have watched this channel in over a year.

They were running some poll and said Synema was leading McSally 77-22!!!

I really dislike local news and no, I don’t believe this poll.

Sinema is the biggest dumb shit there is. You couldn’t throw a race better than she is losing it.

She sent a flyer to a GOP household (mine) saying McSally voted to defund Planned Parenthood. Her TV ads frequently say McSally votes with Trump, who won this state. Brilliant!

I detest McSally, but the wife and me will dance with the Rino that brung us one more time. Sinema is even stupider than people say, and she will lose.

Arizona is a state that concerns itself with the military and the VA, and not much else of the conservative agenda. So McCain, Flake, McSally..she’s in. GOP-e. Hoo rah.
