My client feared that he might be beaten or killed if he went in the direction the big guy, who was threatening to beat him, told him to go, so he went straight instead.
When the other guy stepped in front of my client’s car, to stop him, he thought the big guy at the intersection, who was threatening to beat him, was going to catch up with him, so he had to continue, because he feared he would be beaten or killed.

Right. These were emergency actions during a riot.
The Left Coast has been encouraging pedestrians to block traffic since the 80s with stupid laws. It’s their mess.
