f Democrat Andrew Gillum defeats Republican Ron DeSantis, Floridians will make history by electing the state’s first black governor.
It’s an exciting prospect for many voters.
“There’s certainly a buzz with our brother, Andrew Gillum, running for governor,” said Anthony Rankine-Palmer, president of the Florida Atlantic University chapter of the nonprofit community service and civic engagement group Progressive Black Men. “People see a familiar face. They see someone who looks like them.”
But one thing that wouldn’t change, most Florida voters believe, is race relations. Three out of four Florida voters in the Quinnipiac University Poll released this week said electing Gillum wouldn’t make race relations better.

Don’t know about race relations, but Gillum’s election would be a boom for moving companies and truck and trailer rentals as there would soon be an exodus of people from Florida
I wasn’t worried about this guy before, but a serious hurricane threatening the panhandle( ultra red) just before the election is not good. The Scott/ Nelson race also.
At this point, I could write the news stories for the left. Not because I think like them. I don’t, I happen to be sane. But because they’re so predictable in their propaganda. Nothing new. Same old failed talking points out rolled out time after time.
If Florida elects this guy, I predict people won’t be moving to Florida anymore. As a matter of fact, they might be leaving.
