Redford tries to make a comeback:

“But I want to encourage you to dig deep for hope and civility right now—to try to make connections with people you disagree with, to be better than our politicians. “We don’t have to share the same motivations to want the same outcomes. Let’s focus on each other, and strengthening our communities, and reflecting on what’s happening. Let’s live in justice and respect and let others fight it out now to the bitter ends."

I have to admit , enjoyed to movie All is Lost.
Single handed sailing and runs into trouble. Some terrific photography.
Don’t recall one speaking line in the movie.

The country he was born into had rules, restricted borders, respect for the police and since 1950’s greatness and prosperity for all, civil rights, and many more opportunities than I can think of. I was very happy in the country I was born in as well (even though it was NJ!). I am saddened by the world Odomo brought us into and the world the communist leftists want us to live in. What is it that Redford wants? He is happy with unpatriotic behavior, disrespect for police, trade deals that rape American workers, unqualified people entering this nation just to suck up our resources?

Trump fixed all that, the economy is on fire with jobs and growth for Americans of all color. Manufacturing is surging. Stock market at all-time highs. What the hell is it that ungrateful bastard doesn’t like? I guarantee you, like his liberal friend, Streisand, his private beach doesn’t allow ANYONE on it. This puke never had to work a day in his pampered life and lived a life of luxury. I hope to hell he goes to Venezuela, a country he seems he would like to emulate here. Perhaps if he had served his country instead of merely reaping its benefits, he would be much more appreciative of what America really is. It is GREAT AGAIN and I, for one, am very proud of our President and our country and especially the recent spine the GOP leadership has recently developed.

When I’m seeking guidance on subjects like decency, morality, civility and character I always turn first to people who are making a living by pretending.

Then make that sound - the sound of those we don’t like moving to another country...Venezuela can use some more tools.

“I feel out of place in the country I was born into.”

Right, Bob. So do I, and most of us of our generation. It's called ‘getting old.’

“We don't have to share the same motivations to want the same outcomes.”

You are missing the point, Robert. I, and the people young and old that I agree with politically, do NOT want the same outcomes as the persons who just recently disgraced themselves (and the whole Democratic Party with them), by their unsubstantiated, vitriolic personal attacks on a distinguished public servant and jurist who had been nominated to a seat on the Supreme Court. They, and folks like me, do not merely not share the same motivations, we apparently do not even understand each others’ motivations; we do not seem to belong to the same communities, nor want to; they certainly do not respect me, and my right to hold and express my opinions; I do not see them calling for anything I understand as justice. There is nothing left to do but fight it out to the bitter end, at the ballet box if it is still possible to settle this peaceably; in the streets and fields and battlegrounds if they refuse to accept the results of elections, as they have for the last 2 years.

Me too Robert. Been feeling that way for a while. Since about 1992 to be exact.

Can’t we all get along? Sounds familiar.

The uncivil behavior is coming from one source—the Left.

Contrast Redford, a liberal who like other liberals, basically never grew up and has gained zero wisdom, with Clint Eastwood, who is the exact opposite.

Redford wallows in misery. Eastwood continues to make excellent movies and seems very content. Can’t wait to see The Mule.

What hokey drama!

‘Let others fight it out to the bitter ends’?

Zero, Maxine and others - including hollyweird and ‘comedians’ - have told the leftists it’s okay to be violent, and all the players in the #resist movement have carried out their orders.

Now that it’s backfiring on them, they’re encouraging ‘civility’ and recycling their ‘hope’ mantra?

Well, good luck with that. ‘Dig deep for hope and civility’ is not what these people want to hear.

Jeez I’ve felt that way for over 20 years now and I am not even 50. It is only in the last year or so that it seems like we have begun returning to sanity

Mr Redford....... It has taken you till now to learn you have always been out of place in America. You lack all the various ethical and moral traits to be an Amercan. You are basically personified sleeze
