Robert Redford may be done acting, but he’s not riding off into the sunset anytime soon. The actor, filmmaker, and Sundance Film Festival founder published “A Brief Statement About Big Things” on the Sundance Institute’s website yesterday, writing that he feels “out of place in the country I was born into” for the first time he can remember and that he has “watched with sadness as our civil servants have failed us.”
The overtly political speech was published the same day that Brett Kavanaugh’s ascension to the Supreme Court following a nasty confirmation process that once again emphasized how bitterly divided the country has become. Neither Kavanaugh nor anyone else is mentioned by name, but Redford citing “bigotry, mean-spiritedness, and mockery as the now-normal tools of the trade” suggests his anger probably isn’t directed at Amy Klobuchar.

So, let me get this straight:
Bob’s a good lib, who is old enough to remember the Red Scare, Assassinations, Vietnam, Watergate, etcetera.
But NOW he feels out of place because of failed civil servants? Come on, cut it out.

So, perhaps, Robert Redford “should” feel out of place in the country he was born into. We, the USA, are going to win this battle against Satan. I suspect he would feel much more at home in Cuba or China. Perhaps he could assist in harvesting the organs of the Falun Gong or he could make a documentary on how beneficial the dead baby pills are. Considering China kills 23+ million annually, Robert could be in his glory with all the subject matter.
Ya just gotta note the atheists’ despisal of anything morally sound. They act like killing mass murderers is the end of the world all the while they consider ethically good the mass killing of innocent defenseless little boys and girls to the tune of 1.3 per second, albeit executed by their own mothers. I suppose this is the “bigotry” exemplified by the Kavanaugh appointment, the possibility of a ProLife decision or two.
