I have long stopped listening to these "experts".
They know Jack Sh@t about anything. All they do is write things for some money. They will do what ever the person wants them to do. Now, this study, funded by an organization against drinking funds this study.
I will stick to my bottle of wine and I will drink away. If you don't like it, you can go cry and wail and tear your pink hair out. I don't care.

Utter bull obama. The magic word here kiddies is “may” lead to. I should have applied for a grant back at university where 5 glasses of beer makes ugly women look like Victoria Secret models..

There is no credible study showing that abstaining from alcohol will lead to a longer life.....but it’ll seem longer.

The researchers calculated that those who consumed one to two drinks at least four times a week were 20 percent more likely to fall victim to an early death than people who consumed a drink or two three times a week or less. What a flawed study. The two groups they used are part of the same subset - VERY light drinkers.
For a proper study, they need a control group. I would suggest people who drink five to ten drinks every day. I'm available if the pay is good, and they provide some good beer.

These folks can pry my dinnertime bottle of wine out of my cold, dead hands, thank-you-very-much.
I live within a 1/2 hour drive of several dozen of the best wineries in North America, and there’s NO WAY I’m giving up my wine.

Most studies show the opposite, that a little wine/alcohol is actually good for you. Only too much is bad.

If they don’t issue timely “progress reports” that something bad “may” happen and more investigation is “urgently” needed, they won’t get their grants renewed. It’s a racket.

Everyone who drinks wine will die. So will everyone who eats carrots or breathes air.
I like wine. I drink wine. I will continue to drink wine.
