Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts used Columbus Day to honor the country’s indigenous people rather than celebrate the anniversary of explorer Christopher Columbus’ arrival in the Americas.
“Today we celebrate Native American communities, [and] the pride [and] resilience of people reclaiming their history [and] traditions,” Warren tweeted on Monday. “We honor the contributions that Native people make to a country that has taken so much [and] keeps asking for more. #IndigenousPeoplesDay”

The Massachusetts senator further recommended honoring the Native American community by electing two Democratic candidates, Deb Haaland of New Mexico and Sharice Davis of Kansas, during the November midterm elections. “Let’s empower these strong Native American women to make history [and] win on Nov. 6. Chip in to their campaigns,” Warren tweeted with a link to donate.
Warren consistently receives backlash for claiming to have Native American ancestry due to her “high cheekbones.” She has refused to take a DNA test to prove her heritage, however, a genealogists report believes Warren to be 1/32nd Cherokee.
President Donald Trump frequently refers to Warren as “Pocahontas.”

#37. No. Many big named schools make excuses for them and keep them. Often promote them over better qualified people because of their race, gender, etc.
The real Columbus day is Friday Oct 12 anyway so the joke is on Fauxahontas.
Um. Am I dumb, or aren’t Italians “Latin?” Um, where did “Latin” come from? I’m thinking Ancient Rome, right? I took Latin in middle school. So why diss poor Columbo? He was a Latino!

I’m not trolling anyone or dissing anyone, I’m pointing out more left wing hypocrisy. The left is always demanding their fair share of what someone else produced, yet they hate Columbus for taking Indian land for Europe, which is no different than taking their fair share.
