Rasmussen Approval - Trump up 51-47 (google removes from type ahead search)
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 10/8/2018 | Rasmussen

Presidential Approval Index rating of zero for the first time since (Obama was -12 at this time). This is the best for Trump since 3.5 weeks into his presidency. Trump is +4 right now and Obama was -5 at this time.

I for MANY MANY years (and as recently as last week), get to this Rasmussen approval poll by typing in "presidential tracking poll" into the google search. Usually before I finish typing the first word "presidential" in the type ahead search box I will see "presidential tracking poll" as one of the first 5 options... This week Google has completely removed it as an early type ahead search option.

When I type "presidential t" I get instead now, "presidential traverse" and "presidential term limits"

Should read “Presidential Approval Index rating of zero for the first time since 3 and a half weeks into his presidency”

Either Rasmussen is yanking everyone’s chain, or else that ‘blue wave’ is not likely to be very tall.

With the President’s popularity growing, a Blue Wave is highly unlikely.

The reverse would be more probable if his popularity was in the 30s as happened to President Bush in 2006 when a huge Blue Wave saw Democrats take over Congress.

Looks like we’ll dodge a bullet this year.

I’m not sure, I appear to get that prompt.

Could it be you have recently typed a significant number of searches, and your search bar just has more information to return, so it does not prompt quite as quickly?

I am completely supportive of your suspicions of a general left wing slant in MUCH of our various media alternatives, but there might be another explanation for this one.

Maybe...

"Presidential Approval Index rating of zero"

Significant, I've NEVER seen a non-negative number for President Trump ... something has finally clicked in the electorate ...

Also:

The latest figures include 38% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 38% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of zero (0). (see trends).

This is Trump’s highest Presidential Approval Index rating since early February of last year, shortly after he first took office. By comparison, Barack Obama earned a presidential approval index rating of -12 on October 8, 2010, in the second year of his presidency.

Trump’s +4 compares to Obama’s -5 at the same time in their respective Presidencies. Trump is winning over more of the population to his side the more time he is in office.

“something has finally clicked in the electorate”

Larger paychecks have a way of doing that.

For the GOP, it couldn’t come at a better time.

You can bet every House and Senate candidate wants the President to come into their states between now and November 6.

Whereas Republicans shunning the unpopular Bush didn’t save them, Trump’s presence will make or break the GOP’s prospects of holding the House.

And the President will be out there virtually every day to make it happen.

You are not alone. I have noticed a similar phenomena recently with my frequent search terms seemingly edited in what appear to be leaving terms that lead to links to conservative sites strangely absent. It is more of an annoyance than a hindrance.

That’s when I knew the Democrats would lose the House. Obama’s unpopularity was a factor but what sank the Democrats was the Obamacare millstone around fheir necks.

By contrast the improving economy, world peace and the Kavanaugh confirmation is going to be the wind in the GOP sails . It doesn’t hurt it has the asset of a popular President, too.

RCP average lists Rasmussen as the only poll that includes data post Kavanaugh vote.

I won’t be surprised to see his favorability take a jump at RCP over the next couple of weeks.

The dumb ass voters screwed President Reagan by electing a democrat congress who did nothing but try and break his stones

Let's hope they don't do it to Trump

The presidential approval polls are rigged. They were biased in favor of Obama and against Trump.

One good way to check this bias is to compare presidential approval with the question about whether the country is going in the right direction or the wrong direction.

People who say the country is going in the right direction should approve of the president. Wrong direction should disapprove.

If not, something is wrong.

In 1982, there was a recession and the GOP lost seats.

That’s not in play this year. Like in the 1920s, its the era of good feelings.

Life has never been so good for most Americans.
