Taylor Swift has broken her long-held public political silence in an Instagram post encouraging her followers to vote in the November midterm elections and slamming Republican Tennessee representative Marsha Blackburn.
In the past Ive been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now, Swift began the post, which was accompanied by a moody, black-and-white photo of the superstar.
I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country, she wrote. I believe in the fight for LGBTQ rights, and that any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender is WRONG. I believe that the systemic racism we still see in this country towards people of color is terrifying, sickening and prevalent.
I cannot vote for someone who will not be willing to fight for dignity for ALL Americans, no matter their skin color, gender or who they love, the post continues.

The caption for that picture is “Nothing but Trouble.”
She really had nothing to gain by taking a political stand which makes me wonder why she did so. Doing this will only alienate fans. She won't get new ones and she's got to be smart enough to understand this. I suspect she was under a lot of pressure from somewhere to make a political statement in support of Democrats.
so many altright neckbeards have just had their hearts broken...
“Tried to warn her legions of admirers here
Shes not from Nashville for the record
Northerner”
Yeah.. Reading. Philly. Basically New Jersey. That whole place needs to be flushed.
I think it is because she is bi/lesbian as she put her support for lesbians at the top of her statement.
She has a scratchy whiny voice. Makes millions but nothing memorable.
Actually, I don't know about this.
I just read her entire post and political parties aren't mentioned anywhere. Only candidates.
By Taylor!
Always suspected you were a flaming liberal.
Go Blackburn!
LOL it's true... Probably 95% of every male Taylor Swift fan voted for Trump.
She timed this so it came out AFTER her tour ended.
She also disabled comments on her anti-Blackburn post. She’s never disabled comments before. HA!
Word around the campfire was that her super high ticket prices on the last tour weren't selling out. I paid over $900 for TWO decent seats at the Alameda County show in the gay area for my son and daughter-in-law (she loves her some Tay-Tay).
When they weren't selling out, they lowered the prices (how much, I don't know) and ADDED a second show.
Bad for me. Good for her.

#92 A google search had many links on: taylor swift gay
Several of her boyfriends have been beards.
Here is one story with a background.

No, she isn't. She's scrawny as a plucked roadrunner and any boy stupid enough to date her is fodder for her songs.
She can sing. That's about it.
Yep, I admired her for keeping her yap shut unlike almost everybody else in entertainment. She blew it.
I'll stick with the old color chipper pics of the superstar...
I’ve never been a fan of Trailer Swift.
I think Swift is going to disappear from the public eye for a while. Her US tour is over. She's got a half dozen dates left in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan and that's it.
This December she'll turn 29 and she's been going non-stop since she started as a teenager. She's gotta feel the clock ticking.
My bet is she returns from the remainder of her Reputation tour and goes into semi-seclusion for a while. No new music. No stadium tours. Maybe starts a family.
Her endorsement was rather narrow. Not once did she mention the words "Democrat" or "Republican" or "Trump." It was focused only on candidates in Tennessee that she did not identify by party.
That's how airline pricing works. You set a baseline price and adjust them up or down depending on demand. Ideally, you'll have tickets available right up until showtime when you'll finally sell out.
The old days of Van Halen or the Stones setting a fixed ticket price and selling out a stadium in 90 minutes are over.
Agreed, by why take a stance at all ? Unless she was being heavily pressured by her producers.
You got it back asswards
She is cute but cant sing

You are just wrong doing if you think that is how it works for all bands.
