I was in the Senate gallery this afternoon when Justice Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed. You would have thought I was at an exorcism in an insane asylum.
Perhaps you were watching on television and heard the disruptions, though you certainly didnt see them. The attenuated audio probably didnt catch the frightening, incoherent shrieking including the lingering screaming and howling as they were being dragged down the hallways outside the gallery.
...
The first example came when Senator Cornyn rightfully railed against the mobs who spent the last three weeks assaulting and assailing Kavanaugh supporters.
Mob rule is necessary, one shrieking woman shouted before security personnel could settle her down.
At least she was honest. It did not appear that Capitol Police removed her for her crime, unfortunately. That would soon change.
Another crazed woman later screamed, I will not consent, I will not consent, I will not consent, I will not consent." She was like a feminist automaton: I will not consent, I will not consent. Capitol Police were less forgiving and dragged her out the doors and down the hallway.
I have visited hospitals for the seriously mentally ill, and the shrieks from this woman were as odd and unearthly as anything I ever heard inside a mental hospital. They echoed off the halls and ceilings outside the gallery in decreasing but astonishing amplitude.
Then the roll was called, and it sounded like the gates of hell opened up.
Nearly a dozen women erupted in unison, shouting, howling, screaming, in an unrecognizable venomous wail. They wouldnt stop. There was fury, rage, hate, poison in the noise.
It wasn't prose. It wasn't song. It was a swarming, shrill, swirling noise.

I think many of these gallery-goers are given seats by the Senators. I think the Senators should bear some responsibility for the behavior of their guests.
My suggestion: A Senate rule which suspends gallery guest ticket privileges for any Senator whose guest behaves in a disorderly fashion. What’s the appropriate period? A month? The rest of the session?
Love liberals. Theyre always entertaining - all they forgot to bring was the clown car.
Duct tape + lead sap = quiet
the right to free speech doen not include yelling fire in a crowded theatre ....... nor yelling any thing in the senate gallery during proceedings
I think anyone who heard the screaming yesterday as the roll was called (and as Pence called for order) could only conclude these people are insane.
The liberals worked very hard in the ‘70s and ‘80s to shut down the insane asylums on “humanitarian” grounds. Maybe what they were really after was an obedient mob of crazy people to use at will.
Bingo.
It made GOP Senators even more determined to vote to confirm.
That stunt of theirs backfired.
“I think many of these gallery-goers are given seats by the Senators. I think the Senators should bear some responsibility for the behavior of their guests.”
Michelle Malkin is calling for an investigation of which Senators provided passes for the disruptors. And, boy, is she ever pissed!!
I think they helped us.
I think Hillary helps us.
I think Ocasio-Cortez helps us tons and I want to see her on TV as much as possible, speaking out forcefully.
No, not insane.
They are angry and vindictive attention seekers who act to enhance their self esteem similar to those who can say..... I marched with Martin
Wife hasn’t been on Yahoo News for a week or two. She pulled up an article about how Christine Blosey Ford feels like a victim all over again. She read about a hundred comments, not a single one supportive or sympathetic to the fabricator.
Does our hearts good.
The insane usually make insane sounds.
Who knew?

"You dont hand matches to an arsonist, and you dont give power to an angry left-wing mob. Democrats have become too EXTREME and TOO DANGEROUS to govern. Republicans believe in the rule of law - not the rule of the mob. VOTE REPUBLICAN!"
The lunatics provided great material for campaign ads!! There should be a means to find out which Senators invited them and provided passes. There has to be a record of how many each Senator invited. They either had passes that were collected or each individual was listed in a computer database that was checked before they were allowed to get in.
“The Sergeant at Arms will restore order in the gallery!”—Vice President Mike Pence......
The Demonic Party.
Truly and literally demonic.
They need a new Sergeant at Arms....or three.
why doesn’t the senate spend a few $ on a sound proof clear barrier - like crying rooms for babies at churches? Public can attend just can’t interupt proceedings so often.
