Democrats failed to realize the obvious... that all women have dads, brothers, husbands, and/or sons who could be the next males targeted with unsubstantiated accusations of sexual assault or harassment that could ruin their lives. The reckless pursuit of power can be blinding.

And the people at SNL think this makes for a really funny skit:

“Democrats underestimate how completely terrifying this spectacle appears to ordinary people. Here is a man who volunteers in a homeless shelter and coaches girl’s basketball and has more female clerks than any other federal judge; and he is being destroyed on accusation alone. How could an ordinary person, without powerful friends, survive such an onslaught?

The same public watched #MeToo start with pretty clear cases against guys who were creeps. Now, some of the cases are much muddier. This new Kavanaugh standard the left wants to impose would mean any one could be named, his reputation and future destroyed and subjected to intense ridicule when he defends himself.”

I bet there is more to it than preventing Trump from making any nomination at all. I bet some things are planned for the coming month and for the election itself whereby a friendly Court is needed or at least split decisions so that one or more planned Disrict Court decisions will stand because of that split.

It seems to me the loss of seats during the mid-terms for the party in power is due to recession or public disapproval over foreign policy. There isn’t a recession (just the opposite) in 2018 and I don’t see the public disapproving of Trump’s foreign policy.

The difference in 2018 will be whether the lamestream media has poisoned the minds of a sufficient number of voters with “Russia collusion” and other DNC talking points. A month out, it remains to be seen. I suspect there will be surpises as well as disappointments on both sides, but in the end, the GOP retains control of the House (albeit with a slimmer margin) and Senate (with probably 3-5 additional seats).

This sentence (I’ve seen it before) always reminds me of this song:

Is the GOP going to be fair to what they saw as sincere testimony by Dr. Ford?

Who?

This crap will come back to bite them. Just a matter of time. AND Justice Kavanaugh is appointed for life and he will remember this event. And rule accordingly.

First, while the politically attuned understand this is just a delay game by the left, who are on record as willing to do anything to derail this nominee and force the appointment to be made after the November election, swing voters and many women do not.

The Hill is attempting Damage Control for the DemocRATS. Notice the mention of Swing Voters and Women. They are worried Swing Voters - Independents/Moderates will not be happy with the DemocRAT Smear Job. They also worry about Women - Mothers with sons won't like it either.

So what to do?? GLOSS OVER IT!

So blame & rant about Trump all they want, the bottom line is that even in a indirect way, Trump is still lowering the unemployment rate as Soros is spending millions for his fake protestors during the whole process.

But will Trump get any credit from these buffoons who were paid just to protest his pick? Nope! If it weren't for this, they would still be sitting around doing nothing.

Newsweek says "Republicans have just lost women FOREVER". Yeah ok sure.

Chuck Shumer talked about Republicans alleging "an unseen partisan conspiracy".

Unseen? Unseen? UNSEEN? Is the sky unseen too Chuck? You bastards were right out in the open.

I have one thing to say. Hahahahahahahha nanananananana.

Your analysis is correct and the left over played their hand but historically the party in power loses 30 seats in the house and the more reliable Real Clear Politics house polls are still showing the shift toward dems that historically happen. I hope we hold the house and pretty sure we will hold the Senate and pick up a few there.

The biggest challenge is what happened in CA is happening nationally but we and Trump can change it.

Think about this: CA is still the state with the most Republicans of any state in the union, unfortunately we are swamped by more block voting Dems. it wasn’t always that way. CA was a state that looked like a conservative mid west state right through 1988-Reagan was elected gov twice. Demographics looked like similar to a Midwest state too-So what happened? The state’s demographics changed-anywhere from 250,000 to 1 million, immigrants , majority being illegal aliens, and as the dems slowly gained power they offered what we called welcome packets at the border (free govt income and benefits) this only increased dems hold on certain ethnic block voters. Today, currently Caucasians comprise less than 49% of the state’s population. 1988 it was 69%. This isn’t meant to be a racial commentary but the Dems have locked I block voting going on and we need to be aware that’s where the growth is: Just imagine if African Americans didn’t vote 90%+ for Dems, currently it’s like starting any national election down by 10 points, but if it was even 60/40 Dems wouldn’t’ win hardly any national office.
Bottom line is enjoy today but do not be complacent we can’t sit around and celebrate too much, we need to be fired up and persuade others
