Terrible.
But it’s good that he is recovering.

Awwww, looks a bit like the rattler Mike Pierd (probably spelled his name wrong, sorry) squished into the ground with his crutch tip on the elementary school grounds in Beautiful Beaufort back in the day.

A snake fence is a joke. Snakes are great climbers.
Speaking of fences, have you seen the video of the alligator climbing over the 6ft chain link fence?
Cibolo is just down the road from me. Had a coral snake in my driveway last week.
My first house in Austin had a rattlesnake nest inside the wall of the garage.

When my kids were young they found a nest of snake eggs and watched them hatch in a 5 gallon bucket. They’re born mean and struck at a stick within a few minutes of hatching.

Well, THAT sounds like fun...
More fun than getting my cat to help move a badger out of my garage. Those Wisconsin fans are such trouble...

How many here understand that the bite of a “small” (young) rattler is more dangerous than that of an adult?
An adult rattlesnake meters its venom when it bites, so to have sufficient venom left for other confrontations; however, when a young rattlesnake bites, it usually pumps at once all the venom it has stored, thus making its bite much more toxic - and deadly.

Yes, the baby rattlers are out. They are hard to detect and carry potent venom for their size.

LOL...you have to be extra tough (and keep Snake B Gone on hand), to live in TX ;-)
Our kitty wouldn’t bring them in...but, she would keep them occupied, ‘til hubby could get the shovel out.

Maybe they should re-evaluate their "snake fence" strategy.

Wish we could have applied that liberally in the Senate. Would have saved a lot of anguish.
