>> Let’s see... Romney supports Kavanaugh and most everyone here tells him to STFU, and go to hell? <<

That's not as weird as when they kept bashing "Rudy McRomney" during the primary as the RINO trio, then the INSTANT Fred Thompson dropped out, they all flocked to Romney overnight on FR. After he lost to McCain, they then begged McCain to make him his running mate and talked about McCain-Romney as a "dream ticket".

During that time period I wondered if this whole forum had been hijacked by the steering committee of the "Republican Main Street Partnership". FR gushing over RINOs was very Twilight Zoneish.

To be fair Romney could have said this BEFORE it was clear Kav would pass.
Like last week- or from the beginning.

Saying it now seems weaselly.

I voted for Romney in the 2008 primary over McCain and Huck. Choose your poison. I know you were for Huck and you can make a good case for him. But I think Huck revealed his true character when he started hawking fake diabetes cures and fake cancer treatments so I don’t regret it at all, I can only choose from the options I have.

I didn’t “emotionally” oppose Giuliani in 2008, since I pointed out that he DID drastically improve NYC on his watch (while Willard was simply a horror). I also believe, unlike Deep State operatives Willard and McQueeg, Giuliani would NOT have played ringer to Zero. He did take out the execrable Dinkins, so we know he wasn’t going to pull punches. But, as it turned out, he was the wrong New Yorker to back.

When Fred Thompson got out of the race, as with 2012, I backed no one. I thought the whole primary filled with losers and the worst of the worst required clearing the whole thing out and drafting outsiders. 2008 and 2012 were the absolute nadir for the GOP when it came to Presidential nominees. Some say 1936 and 1940, but at least Gov. Landon and Wendell Willkie were trying to win.
