President Trump hinted Tuesday at a rally in Mississippi that Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., could have a drinking habit.

The president told the crowd that they should do an online search for “Patrick Leahy dash drink.”
.
.
.
“‘How dare you have a beer when you’re in high school?’” Trump said in a mocking tone toward the Democrats who questioned Kavanaugh.

Never cared for the sauce either.

My sum consumption might half fill a soda can. That’s mostly from the communion stuff.

It’s been known for years that Patrick Leahy is a lush.

Trump seems to be the only republican that doesn't go on the defensive, and let the media control the narrative using the same old tricks they've used for years. You would think republicans would have some ability to recognize what the left is doing and adapt to how they handle it, but most obviously haven't.

We need better republicans who can effectively lead the party after Trump’s gone, because most of what we have now aren't capable of doing that. We could lose in 2024 going from Trump back to the uncharismatic establishment candidates in a similar way to how democrats lost going from Obama to Hillary.

One of Trump's best attributes is that he has what most see as common sense, but it's a rare attribute in most of our politicians. I don't think they actually lack common sense, but they have to ignore it to follow the orders of their donors. Hopefully we will have better candidates on the scene by the time Trump is leaving office.

I’m a few decades younger than you, but I think in my entire life I may have consumed a cumulative total of a gallon of wine. Never cared for beer and never touched hard liquor (yuk!).

In light of this Ford/Kavanaugh fiasco, I was reflecting that all through high school and college my motto on drinking was, “I need always to maintain full control of my faculties, such as they are.” And so I never got drunk at parties, even at Penn State, LOL.

Me, I can’t tell the diff. Either I like it, or I don’t. Mostly don’t. A couple of wines I like. An apple brandy. A good cocktail if we’re out and I’m not driving. My hubby, however, does enjoy a good single malt. I can’t stand the stuff so his stash is safe.

Even that lying limey creep, Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, is getting in on the libel against Judge Kavanaugh. Those fascist Brits really should stop trying to interfere with our elections and other U.S. government business. This is linked from Drudge, by the way.

My sinister battle with Brett Kavanaugh over the truth - by Ambrose Evans-Pritchard

...which links to this garbage from the 26th (last Wednesday, before the Senate Judicial Committee vote).

Feinstein: Kavanaugh misled about grand jury secrecy in Vince Foster probe

You’ll see that Politico debunks its own slander piece at the bottom of it (re. Paul Rosenzweig), after wasting your time with its long s***piece. Hysterical!

Know this. The push against Judge Kavanaugh is not so much about abortion. It’s mostly about the attack by Feinstein and others who are far more wealthy than her against our Second Amendment.

I gave up drinking when I met my wife. She abstains and I felt it was only proper to do so.

I really don’t miss it. Instead of drinking when around liberal assholes, I just walk away.

Well, I like a glass of wine, a cordial, the occasional cocktail. It does good things for my blood pressure. The only use that bugs me is abuse. I think it’s quite telling that the enemedia sees abstemiousness as the abnormality.

Yes, our President isn’t defensive. Neither was Senator Jesse Helms.

If you told me 8 years ago that the next Republican President would be a conservative from NYC, I wouldn’t have believed you. Trump lived and earned his living in one of the global centers of the left; he knows the weak underside of these people, and he knows how dirty they play. He fears them not, and deals with them accordingly using his life’s experiences with the left. He has the stick now.

Leahy’s last public appearance, giving his opinion at the Kavenugh lynching was a sluury exercise in drunk control
