Sen. Bob Corker, a Tennesee Republican who at times has been at odds with President Trump, told Hill.TV on Tuesday evening that he is confident Senate Republicans will have enough votes to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh by "no later than Saturday."
Corker also accused Democrats of having "overplayed their hand" in leveling accusations of sexual misconduct and assault by several women and demanding an FBI investigation

Are you just figuring that out now?
I’ve said the same for over a week.
Never Trumper Liddle Corker on board. He should do the hard sell on Flake..,
What’s Corker’s FR handle?
Indeed.
Overplayed their hand is an understatement!
Jumped the Shark with ‘CreepyPornLawyer’s” client...
I’d guess that two things are happening:
1. The FBI is uncovering stuff that exposes the Dems criminally - probably why Feinstein suddenly wants the report kept secret, and why Senators will now have to go a SCIF to see it.
2. It is becoming clear to both sides that issue is working against the Dems politically - bigly.
They never had a hand...
Overplayed their hand is putting it much too mildly
What the Democrat Party has done is enormously egregious and dangerously harmful to the health of the Republic.
Guess he saw the over 100,000 people in line at the Trump rally in his home state of Tennessee last night
Good news hearing this from Corker. However we have Flake to deal with and the sisters. We need one or two dimoKKKRATS or wait until after the midterms.
God is hearing our prayers.
The democrats have played the hand that Jeff Flake eagerly dealt them. I predict Flake, Murkowski and Collins bit no.
When DON’T the democrats overplay their hand?
They overplayed and, perhaps more importantly, misplayed there hand. By coming out with the I Believe Her trope, they then had to defend that stance in the face of insufficient evidence to reach that conclusion, turning the argument to one of innocent until proven guilty - an argument the GOP can easily win on nearly any 30 plus year claim of wrongdoing.
Instead, they should have simply acknowledged the lack of evidence to support her claim, but said that because the stakes are so high, and because it’s not a legal proceeding, that innocent until proven guilty or even the preponderance of the evidence standard of a civil suit doesn’t apply, but rather if there is any reasonable chance that such an event might have occurred, then the confirmation should be denied and another nominee should be named. I’m not saying that’s right, but it would have been more persuasive in getting some weak Republicans to vote no.
Sure, that concept got mentioned, but they didn’t make it their focus - not even close. And I think you can thank TDS for that, since so many of them were not thinking strategically about how to defeat the nomination, but set their target on completely destroying the Kavanaugh’s reputation, since the charges against him reminded them too much of the campaign charges made against the person they hate the most - President Trump.
Either he gets confirmed or the FBI report goes public.
Choose wisely you losers.
