As the Senate awaits the results of the FBI investigation into the Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, Jeff Flake, one of the lawmakers who spurred the inquiry, criticized the judge Tuesday for his recent appearance in the upper chamber.
Speaking with Jeffrey Rosen, the president of the National Constitution Center, and Democratic Senator Chris Coons at The Atlantic Festival on Tuesday morning, Flake called the judges interactions with lawmakers sharp and partisan.
We cant have that on the Court, said the Arizona senator, who didnt elaborate on which interactions he was referring to.

Heitkamp and Manchin are probably going to swing over and support Kavanaugh. I’m guessing Collins and Murkowski will support him too. If that happens Flake is Mr. Irrelevant and will find a place in the dust bin of history. If remembered at all, he’ll be thought of as a spineless coward who betrayed his party.
I think the Drmocrats have blackmailed him with exposing his closeted homosexuality.
I hope we find out but his obvious side is a constipated man perhaps he's homosexual and doesn't want his family or church to find out..
I have one thing to say to Flake and that argument, Justice Abe Fortas. Anyone of out there remember him, LBJ’s man on the court, he had to resign after only 4 years on the court.
Flake
Name sez it all being from AZ seals it
This makes me believe he was in collusion with the dems regarding the crazy woman approaching him in the elevator. This was a set-up!
Flake = Total coward.
I have no doubt about that at all.
He is nuts or blackmailed
Or both

And / or a complete, utter asshole.
A special place in hell awaits Flake, Murkowski and Collins, if they put the kibosh to this nomination.
no bigger scumbag in all humanity. God will bring justice on this clown
Nope, taken out of context.
Fake news.
Yep ....
Call any judge an Fn Moron in open court and you will find out that judges don’t have to be even tempered and will get belligerent, angry, and hostile really fast.
There is a good reason McFlake is not running again. He’s a loser and a dem puppet.
What I do know is that our system of justice affords a presumption of innocence to the accused, absent corroborating evidence. That is what binds us to the rule of law. While some may argue that a different standard should apply regarding the Senates advice and consent responsibilities, I believe that the constitutions provisions of fairness and due process apply here as well.
I will vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh.
I caught up with Flake briefly as he left the event, and asked if this meant he would not vote to confirm Kavanaugh, even if the FBI cleared him by weeks end. He appeared rattled, and his handlers rushed him into the stairwell. I didnt say that he stammered. I wasnt referring to him.
A better overview of what Flake actually said and probably meant.
Then, Gov. Ducey can replace him with J.D. Hayworth.
Death by bar bell
Why the hell not? Legislooters do not deserve special deference from Judges. The branches of government are of equal stature.
