Majority leader again decries Democrats for delay and obstruction
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is insisting the vote on confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court will take place before weeks end.
The Kentucky Republican, speaking on the Senate floor Monday afternoon, said the Democrats chose to hold the allegations against Kavanaugh in reserve in order to derail the nomination.
He spoke about how the Democrats who first received the allegations handled them. He specifically mentioned a law firm with politically connected lawyers that McConnell says Democrats advised Kavanaughs accuser to hire. Those lawyers are set to hold a fundraiser for Democrats this week, McConnell said.

You’re welcome! And the link is there for anyone to see the copy of Flake’s statement for themselves. Here’s the link again for anyone else who didn’t see it before.

Radical right-winger Mitt Romney had Kavanaugh on his short list:

Agreed. He wouldn’t announce this without having the votes counted and recountddd
Well said and true in your comment #95!
I agree. Hopefully McConnell has the two females on board. I don't think Flake will ever vote yes.
“Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is insisting the vote on confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court will take place before weeks end. “
this means the Pubs have the votes ...
“It will happen. This fiasco shows fickle Republicans like McConnell and Graham actually coalescing into a unit behind Trump.”
indeed. when the Captain leads the charge up and over the ramparts into the machine gun fire from across no man’s land, soldiers of lesser courage tend to follow ...
I love that idea! You are a genius!
I just cannot see how Collins and Murkowski can not vote for this good man, especially under these circumstances. My feeling is that they do not want to anger the radical women’s groups. Too bad they cannot see the army of normal women out here who will be angered if those two vote against him, and will not get over it. Any woman willing to destroy a man and his family in the face of what appears to be a sham should not be in a position of responsibility.
There’s an idea I can support 100%. The poor Swamp wouldn’t know what hit them.
As it stands I reckon Kav has plenty of justified animus for the RATS.
"Let me make it very clear. The time for endless delay and obstruction has come to a close."
“McConnell needs to get Collins and Murkowski into line 100%. “
McConnell needs to have a private meeting with each of them with some staffer who lays out the logical case for why the charges are bogus and why the democrats are trying to play the Senate. Appeal to their pride as rare female Senators and persuade them that they have been played by the dems.
I think the FBI has enough staff to question and consider a couple of dozen fantasy generators in the next four days and then issue a report on Saturday morning.
LOL, i cant decide if youre being serious or sarcastic ! what you wrote is NOT EVEN CLOSE to how things work in DC.
heres how it went.
McConnell said to each of them "Whats it going to take to get a YES vote from you ?" OR
"When i did you the favor and helped you with such-and-such, i am calling in the marker for that one with a YES vote from you"
THATS how the game is played in congress.
you scratch my back and i will scratch yours.
Is that firm for Friday or still a maybe so?
They need to bring this for a vote as soon as the FBI wraps up. Either the republicans are going to confirm Kavanagh or they arent. it they don’t let their constituents deal with them. Next up is Amy Coney Barrett. Let’s see how they smear her.
Im fine with that. Give Alaska another bridge to knowhere. Small price to pay.
I'd write Flake off...he's voting "NO" regardless of what the FBI does. To the ladies I would say, "I'd appreciate your vote in the affirmative, but if you don't I'll do my damnedest to make sure you get zero support for anything you ever want-to include reelection".
sure but if it were me I would appeal to their pride at not being made a fool.
