Like many Freepers, I was indignant upon hearing about squishy agree but delay vote on the Kavanaugh nomination. With the much media-celebrated delay including a FBI probe, many thought the Kavanaugh was toast - even though the delay was clearly stated to be narrow in scope and short in time.
McConnell has said that the vote would happen. Question: does anyone have insight on when the vote is scheduled? I would guess next Saturday.
I understand that it is on Friday, but no other details or confirmation.
Senator Feinsteen will let us know.

3:00 p.m.: Convene and resume executive session to consider the nomination of Brett M. Kavanaugh, of Maryland, to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.
Don't know why they are going into executive session. Probably to argue of the scheduling of the vote.
...Senator Feinsteen will let us know...
& The Flakester approves, unless he’s cornered again by two or more Soros employees. But, you might think he would know he’s being played by them this time
I think I saw something indicating the FBI is expected to be finished by Wenesday. But at this point I doubt anyone would bet a wooden nickle when it will happen.
Just as soon as Sen. Grassley allows his decency to be taken advantage of a little bit more.

Rules...gotta have a vote to take the vote on Friday. Turtle says he has 51 for this procedural step.
October 13, 2024. But that is still dependent on if the scared repubs can make the whining dem bitches like them.

Ann Coulter had tweeted to conservatives “Do none of you know where the senate elevators are?” With any luck, maybe he will hear from some calm, rational people.
“Separately, on timing, a senior GOP leadership aide told CNN the agreement among the three key Republican senators and GOP leadership was to take the first key procedural vote on the Senate floor on the nomination no later than next Friday. It could happen earlier if the FBI is finished before then.”

“Don’t know why they are going into executive session. “
Procedure. Get all the speeches out of the was so they can vote.
The Senate is ready to jump right on this thing and get it done in the same sense as my youngest son playing Overwatch is ready to get right on his homework assignments.
In the meantime, I expect at least two more bimbos to come forward, sobbing through their fifteen minutes of fame.
The FBI will beg for more time, of course, all these new juicy leads and all. What they can investigate, with no proof of anything and only hazy details of where and when the supposed crime was committed (and not reported for 35 years).
It's like an ugly McCarthy flashback - "Are you now or have you ever been to a PARTY?"
Meanwhile, Trump continues to attend rallies in key states.
Listening to Fox on drive to and from Sacramento today and this evening I heard it explained several times that the FBI has up to a week. There seems to be some thinking that they might turn it in early. Senate procedural rules, much like the committee, requires a four-day notice to have a vote. There will likely be several required votes to stop filibusters, etc. If the FBI turns this over on Friday, if McConnell then starts that clock, it means maybe the following Tuesday or Wednesday. Add to this the anticipated demands by Democrats to give them time to digest and refute the FBI report. So, probably 10-14 days?
There is no filibuster provision for judges anymore. Dems may delay with other rules, but that should be short-lived.
I'm not sure why so many lower court judges are still pending.
Because McConnell and Senate Republicans have been dragging their feet. Even though Kavanaugh was delayed from last Monday, there is no reason for the others to not have been voted on. I think there was 12-14 that were up for vote last week. Lazy Never Trumpers.
But is that normally done in EXECUTIVE session?
More likely, the three Flakes.
