83-Year-Old New Jersey Lawmaker: I Was Groped, Kissed as Young Teen
NBC News New York ^ | September 28, 2018

An 83-year-old New Jersey state senator has revealed that she was groped and forcibly kissed by a visitor in her home when she was just a girl.

Sen. Loretta Weinberg says she never told anyone about the alleged incident it until now.

"I posted because this is how women and girls have been treated for generations and how we usually reacted," she said in a text message to The Associated Press. "These experiences are seared on our brains, our emotions and our bodies. We are not 'mixed up.'"

Gloria Steinem on her Bill Clinton essay: ‘I wouldn’t write the same thing now’ (Thu 30 Nov 2017)
https://www.theguardian.com/books/2017/nov/30/gloria-steinem-on-her-bill-clinton-essay-i-wouldnt-write-the-same-thing-now

The feminist icon spoke to the Guardian about her 1998 op-ed, which drew criticism: ‘what you write in one decade you don’t necessarily write in the next’

...But Steinem said she did not regret writing the New York Times article in the first place...

...At the time of her letter, former Arkansas state employee Paula Jones was suing Clinton for sexual harassment, and Kathleen Willey had just given an interview to 60 Minutes about Clinton making an unwanted sexual advance.

Clinton, Willey claimed, kissed her on the mouth during a private meeting to discuss job opportunities. She pushed back away from him, she claimed, and he touched her breasts and placed her hand on his erect penis.

The gravest allegation came one year later, when former campaign volunteer Juanita Broaddrick accused Clinton of rape. Clinton has always denied non-consensual sexual contact.

Steinem’s op-ed has been held up as a prime example of how Democrats and their allies reflexively rallied to Clinton’s defense, an argument made most forcefully by the writer Caitlin Flanagan in the Atlantic.

“It slut-shamed, victim-blamed and age-shamed; it urged compassion for and gratitude to the man the women accused,” Flanagan . “The notorious 1998 New York Times op-ed by Gloria Steinem must surely stand as one of the most regretted public actions of her life....”

...Jones claimed Clinton in his role as Arkansas’s governor summoned her to his hotel room, where he touched her, tried to kiss her, dropped his pants and asked for oral sex.

A judge later dismissed Jones’s case, saying Clinton’s alleged behavior, while “boorish and offensive”, did not meet the legal definition of sexual harassment...

Was it on horseback?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think what she is most pissed about is that the guy that did it chiseled her naked picture on the cave wall so everyone could see her naked. So embarrassing.
I seriously doubt Weinberg wouldn’t have mentioned this at some point before. She is a rabid anti gun politician and probably has nightmares about another pro 2nd Amendment justice getting in the court. This is her way of saying “hey believe Ford cause I kept that secret too”
Males should be extremely wary of any interaction with females. Years later it could be alleged as sexual assault. Males should stay away from females unless they have a signed written consent form. The federal government or legislatures should prepare a consent form that will be acceptable as a defense to later charges.
My wife was as well.
This stuff literally happens all the time.
BUT, this is not what allegedly happened to Ford. They were both minors, and it sounded more like drunken fumbling than an assault.
Older family friends (and family) accost kids all the time. They should be flogged. My wife told her mother and her mother said she would take care of it. She did. But they never told her Dad, who would have beaten the guy to death with a bat.
I know I would have put a beating onto any adult friend or relative who touched my girls.
Ford doesn’t remember many details of this “horrific” event.
Well, I’m not even personally connected to the Kennedys, but - like millions of others - I remember exactly where I was, and who I was with, the day he got killed.
Same with 9/11.
If my kid went to the school where Ford teaches, I’d request that s/he drop out of that class.
"These experiences are seared on our brains, our emotions and our bodies. We are not 'mixed up.'" The Democratic lawmaker says she was 13 and remembers the "EXACT" time and "EXACTLY" where she was when it happened and that she was not confused.
The biddy actually proves our point: If Kavanaugh had, in fact, groped Ford, the date, time, place, corroborating witnesses, and other details would have been "seared" on her brain.
Schools also need to crack down on yearbooks that are written by teenagers. They have a responsibility since 35 years on, the silly scribblings of children can come back and destroy their lives.
Sen Weinberg is a huge anti-homeschooling statist. She's worked tirelessly for years to turn NJ's surprisingly strong HSing environment into a gulag. She's done this off the back of a tragic story of foster parent abuse incident. Per this article:
Her bill, introduced in 2004, would’ve required parents, for the first time, to notify the state that their children were being homeschooled, have them complete the same annual tests as public school students, and submit proof of annual medical tests.
Soon afterward, a small group of homeschooling parents began following Weinberg around the capitol. The barrage of phone calls from homeschooling advocates so jammed her office phone lines that staffers had to use their private cellphones to conduct business. “You would have thought I’d recommended the end of the world as we know it,” said Weinberg. “Our office was besieged.”
Sen Weinberg's desire for state control of children was disgusting then, and remains a stain on her record today.
Thank you for posting that photo. I almost posted it awhile back but decided not to as I often do and flushed my comments about it.
