A panel discussion featuring Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., in Boston next week has been moved due to security concerns amid a contentious battle to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
Flake was confronted by sexual assault survivors at the Capitol on Friday after he said he would vote to advance Kavanaughs nomination.
Flake is appearing Monday at the Forbes Under 30 Summit in Boston to discuss the future of the Republican Party. The panel discussion, which will also feature fellow GOP member Ohio Gov. John Kasich, was originally scheduled to be held at Emerson Colonial Theatre. Emerson College President Lee Pelton decided to cancel the event for safety reasons.
The College just found out about Sen. Jeff Flakes appearance in Boston on Monday. We are seeking to exercise our right as the owners of the Colonial to have the panel canceled for safety reasons. I will keep you updated, he said in a statement.
In a later statement, Pelton said the event would be moved to a different location.
The Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit panel discussion with Sen. Jeff Flake and Gov. John Kasich has been moved to a more secure location in Boston. Emerson College is pleased that this important topic can be discussed and debated, he said.

Brilliant
No, Flake was given praise by Lindsey Graham, who said Flake is a great guy and this request is understandable.
Flake wasn’t the only one who stabbed us in the back here.
Even Trump caved.
This is a disaster
Flake simply needs to resign now and return home to Arizona. Maybe he’d be welcome there? I don’t understand his game plan as he finishes his term and leaves Congress. He’s burned bridges with Republicans, unless he is going to switch to Democrats, he’s not getting their support, maybe not even then. Who likes traitors?
That's a start. He should never be allowed to appear ANYWHERE in public. Should never be allowed to hold down a job of any sort. Ever.
Tar.
Feathers...
That photo looks posed as though for a group portrait.
The subject is literally surrounded by colleagues, all in various states of dread, worry and confusion.
Too bad it was inspired by such foul subject matter.
thanx wonder how many kids she has
Sorry cant help myself but this would be a fitting end to him.
Something like the scene in Godfather II?
His face is not deformed-its a face.
Why would you post something as ludicrous as this?
looks wonky to me
Coolidge was Ronald Reagan's favorite president - and mine, too.
That's a great post, and yes, it definitely has similarities to the public political philosophy of Donald Trump.
With two important exceptions....
Trump has increased federal spending. Not only that, Trump's 2018 deficit is higher than Obama’s 2017 deficit, even though Trump has record tax collections, low unemployment, and high economic growth.
Also, we had very little illegal immigration in 1924. Coolidge's primary concern was LEGAL immigration, which he cut almost to zero.
In sharp contrast, legal immigration under Trump is almost identical to Obama - about 1 million per year. Green Cards and Naturalizations are also identical - about 750,000 per year.
Under the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1953, President Trump has immense discretionary powers.
Trump has the statutory and executive authority to literally cut legal immigration to zero for his entire term.
Unfortunately, Trump is never going to do that.
A lie. They work for Soros, they're activists.
