Ok, I haven seen much detail about what an “investigation” really is. Having had a clearance since 1980, and having had an investigation roughly every 5 years since, I thought I’d just explain what that means.
When you begin the investigation process, the first step is to fill out a form 86, which asks for your places of residence and your employers since the beginning of time, or so it seems. It asks for all family information including inlaws and extended family, birthdates, places of birth, current addresses and contact information. It also asks for a minimum of three non-family references that knew you from each residence and each employer. It also asks for additional references who have known you for at least 5 years.
Any and usually all of the above references are then interviewed.
Then you get interviewed. The interviews ask about your work, work ethic, finances and any debts, trouble with the law, foreign contacts, loyalty to country, and anything that might make one vulnerable to blackmail. Your character including sex life could come into this.
In some positions, a separate polygraph is required to validate all of the above.
I explain all this to illustrate that the only thing different now for BK is that the accusers will get interviewed. I think this is actually going to backfire even more on the dems as their accusers are not clean. They will seem uncooperative. It will make them look even worse than they already look. The only problem I can see is that the results of these investigations are usually held private and not generally available to the public. So like many, I’m not sure what can and will be ultimately released when this circus is done.

Yes. I’ve been saying the same thing with much less detail If you read the charge it challenges the FBI to confirm the validity of the accusations and credibility of the accusers. BOOM door open to investigate the accusers and their instigators.
What would happen if the accusers when interviewed change or add things to the original accusations like more details or witnesses that they just remembered?
