David Hogg wants to speak with President Trump.
“I would love to speak to him at this point,” Hogg told BuzzFeed News in an interview on Tuesday.
The gun control activist said he regretted not attending a listening session at the White House in the days after the mass shooting at his high school, Marjory Stoneman Douglas in Parkland, Fla. Seventeen people were killed in the shooting.
“I’ve learned over the course of traveling the country how to directly address the issues with the dissenting opinions on our policy and I would welcome the opportunity to tell the president to his face how he could save lives,” Hogg said to BuzzFeed.
The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment from BuzzFeed and The Hill.
Hogg also told the news outlet that he would like to speak with the Trump administration about a 10-point plan from March for Our Lives, a group advocating against gun violence.
Hogg told BuzzFeed that he chose not to attend the listening session because of how "emotional" he was during the shooting's aftermath.

As I see it the very sad part of David Hogg is that he seems to be counting only on his own public appearances and loud mouth for a future. He’s not a smart guy- most ideologues aren’t. As a young person who has “the world is his oyster” as young people do , he doesn’t seem to be planning for his intellectual or economic future. His dubious public insertion into a tragic event and trying to capitalize from it is relatively short lived by all historical accounts. I do believe the young man needs some personal counseling to clear up his home and personal issues . I don’t think he’s mentally healthy. Other than that, he was born with arrogance on his face and his attitude fuels it.
