Article says the chef believes “politics, like elbows should be left off the table”. I like that

If protesters were on the restaurant’s property, were they asked to leave? If so, did they? And if they didn’t, were the cops called and charges pressed?

If the conditions apply and the answers to the last two are no, then that IS on the restaurant.

I can think of a better action: the cops should have been called and charges pressed.

At what point does these actions go from protest to one believing they are being threatened causing them to take them out?

I would still be afraid to eat the food.

My thought, exactly! So Ted leaves his food on the table - goes out for a while then comes back and then EATS it? After leaving it unguarded around those vermin? I hope not!

You are a culinary idiot.
You swamp-dwellers are major idiots!

It is difficult to believe you are serious. You sound like one of the protesters at the restaurant.

Your economic advise also suggests you are one of the group that argues it is immoral to use more than one square of toilet paper.

I am really hating articles that post the same f’n text three times. Once as a twitter feed, once as a transcript of the twitter feed, and sometimes a third time as a photo taken of the twitter feed. What’s the point?

Yahoo is the worst, though. To them any tweet is breaking news, and an article can be 100% twitter posts, with responses to the original tweet, and each response has the original tweet over and over and over. Jeeze.

I like that.

But they need to find out if Soros is paying these people and, arrest him also.

He is a NAZI collaborator and Hungary wants to try him.

Ah, another masterful "journalism" job on the original version of the story.

It is so frustrating that many articles are not researched for more than five minutes. But people want instant news, which leads to incomplete/incorrect news.

they were getting torched on Twitter after posting the video...

People were pointing out it was DSA White Trash accosting and chasing out a Cuban Man and his wife.

OOPS, I bet they didn’t think about that ahead of time. LOL

Sorry not buying into the rewrite. In the video Cruz and his wife are not escorted to a “private place” they are hustled out the door into the street. It was also mentioned that the thugs were already in the restaurant sitting quietly at the bar waiting for Cruz to show up. It was a planned attack. So who tipped them off? This whole thing stinks to high Heaven.

Just wondering...the protesters were inches away screaming in Cruz’s face. At that distance spit is being flung. Isn’t spitting on someone assault? Could not the attacked person defend from that?

FWIW, I wouldn’t set foot in a place where the management didn’t take a hard line with this criminality. The cops should have been called and charges pressed. Zero tolerance should be the policy. If the management don’t care about the safety of its patrons or employees, I don’t care how good the food is, it won’t be getting my custom.

Depending on the jurisdiction, simple assault, assault, battery, too if any contact was made.

Charges could and should have been filed.

And assault and/or battery are just for starters. I can think of a few more that might apply.

These expletives-deleted should have had the book thrown at them.

Washington is “civilized”.

If that had happened in TX, what you said is exactly how it would have been handled. The customers would have stopped it.

Trouble makers are not appreciated here.
