1. The accuser uses the press instead of the process.
Every company has a slightly different process for harassment and assault complaints. Often it begins with a neutral investigator being assigned to interview the accuser first, then potential corroborating witnesses. When an accuser is eager to share with the media but reluctant to meet with an investigator, its a flag.
That article in the federalist is really quite good. I sent it to my friend who, because of her own personal experience, tended towards blind belief in the woman. She said it really was well written and opened her eyes a bit. I saved it for future reference

Colleges have not had a very good reputation in past decades for dealing well with complaints by women, especially for something like having a penis waved in their face. They weren’t even so hot on dealing with actual rape cases. They often require a mediation process even in cases of rape with injuries.
