The Senate Judiciary Committee has scheduled a Friday morning vote on Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court, according to a committee notice.
The vote on Kavanaugh is slated to come just one day after he is scheduled to testify in front of the panel on allegations of sexual misconduct.
One of the two women who has come forward to accuse Kavanaugh of misconduct, Christine Blasey Ford, is also scheduled to testify on Thursday.
As a procedural matter, the Judiciary Committee today noticed a potential executive business meeting for Friday, September 28 at 9:30 a.m, Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley's (R-Iowa) office said in the notice.
Committee rules normally require executive business meetings to be noticed three days in advance, so an executive business meeting is being noticed tonight in the event that a majority of the members are prepared to hold one on Friday, they added.
The vote was initially set for Monday but postponed after committee staff and lawyers for Ford got a deal on a public hearing.

get it done, committee people..get the nomination to the senate floor
NOW!
he looks very well qualified.
i am not sure he is as ‘conservative’ judicially as everyone might like, but he certainly looks at least ‘sensible’ judicially... and very well qualified
this Feinstein Ford circus stinks to high heaven and is making the Senate look like a giant JOKE
Surely someone has been keeping tabs on Ford in CA as she apparently moves around in attempts to hide. They need to speak up if she’s still in CA now. If so, she won’t be able to drive across the country by Thurs. morning so the hearing should be cancelled. Just go ahead and vote then.
“Judic Cmte noticed POTENTIAL exec mtg for Friday. Still taking this 1 step at a time. After hrg Dr Ford & Judge Kavanaughs testimony- if were ready to vote, we will vote. If we arent ready, we wont. Cmte rules normally require 3 days notice so were following regular order”
He is following procedures and I am sure he is hopeful the vote will occur.
You know if they didn’t follow the procedures the dems would pile on to it.
Mindys! I said Mindys!
Hate to say it, but I predict major stunts to obstruct it. Like 2000 antifa type people storming the building. Or bomb threats. Hope Grassley makes a backup change of venue plan.
Here's the Committee sched for the Ford/Kav hearting:
Committee lays out schedule for Thursday #Kavanaugh hearing to Ford attorneys: @ChuckGrassley and @SenFeinstein openings; Ford statement no time limit; 1 round of questions, 5 minutes each senator, can give time to another senator or staff counsel. Then same for Kavanaugh.
... Seven total video cameras, limited to seven still photographers in well near Ford at any time, 48 press seats. Comparable numbers for [previous] #Kavanaugh hearings: 28, 50 and 156.
Nice!!
Here we go!
Can you say Th___ G__?:
YES!
Get it Done And Vote Already!
It’s an absolute certainty that no vote will take place on Friday.
Grassley is a spineless putz.
Any rebuttal to his speeches should include that...
Should have be today... or yesterday...
Yes, and Collins and Murkowski won’t have any reason to vote NO.
Hillary is behind this whole thing. Why? Because Kavenaugh knows where the Clinton skeletons are buried.
Coo coo Ka Choo. A Friend clutching their pearls.
Was some sort of albatross taken off McConnell’s neck?
Right. Dramatic entrance of third and fourth mystery accusers just as the vote starts! Then vote clamped down!
Credible. Must believe women who demand to be heard because women must be believed. Worst sex scandals of the hearings process on the way. Possible stories of the century.
New Yorker scooped by Mother Jones and the Nation but veiled hints plastered all over Drudge that “these are big.” Unless they aren’t and amount to nothing.
