No. The Committee should finish up by noon on Thursday. There’s no reason not to have the Senate vote at 1 pm on Thursday. Then they can all go home for their 3 day weekend.

Well if Kavanaugh had been confirmed last week with 55 or more it surely would have depressed the Dem turnout. So perhaps you are right.
USSC convenes at 10 am. They usually hear two cases a day. Kavanaugh will miss one or two in any event, unless the Senate votes early AM Monday. A few days and half-dozen cases aren’t such a big deal.
Horribly inadequate reporting. No information on when Kavanaugh would actually join the court following a vote early next week and whether or not he would be able to vote on cases heard during the October term.

The Dems want to drag out any confirmation so as to pack the court for the above case. Obviously the lower court ruled that illegal alien criminals walk free, if Homeland Security fails to immediately take the criminal alien into custody. With Sanctuary States and cities fighting ICE, this becomes very important.
I’m sure they are well aware of what is going on. Clarance Thomas will be able to make him comfortable and I’m sure he will take it upon himself to do just that.
I hope he has a chance to get away for a few days with the family. His soul will need some time to heal. BUT I will be willing to bet you can find him feeding the homeless and going to church.
I rewatched his interview last night. I felt the heaviness bearing down on him and I prayed for hours that God would ease that burden and give him comfort. I’m not good at fancy prayers, I usually just talk to God, but last night I got very formal so He would know how much it mattered.
