The three dingbats who were previously representing Ford are all special-interest lawyers who took on her case as a political crusade. Bromwich was brought on to provide expertise as a former prosecutor and DOJ official.
I immediately saw Bromwich's involvement as a big red flag that suggested Ford's legal interests were suddenly in conflict with the interests of Feinstein, the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee, and the Democrat Party in general.
The last thing that the Democrats and Ford want is for Ford to be under oath and cross examined. There are multiple sworn statements that her story is false.
