Christine Blasey Ford is set to give the whole game away and then some.
This Thursday, the woman who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault is set to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Ford alleges that Kavanaugh forcibly groped her at a party while both were in high school. So far, no eyewitnesses corroborate her account.
Everything up until this point has shown that Ford isn’t exactly a scrupulous truth-teller just out trying to do the right thing. Then, once agreeing to testify, she claimed that she had a fear of flying, which could delay her getting to Washington, D.C., despite vacationing in the “mid-Atlantic” region just months prior. (RELATED: Christine Blasey Ford Indicates She Doesn’t Want to Fly to Testify.)

So far she & her handlers have been very careful to ensure she says/does nothing which can be actionable in court.

Actually, the reason Ford is balking is because Grassley is insisting on a fair and credible hearing, which is the last thing Ford or the Democrats want.
Team Ford was trying to engineer a hearing where Ford could lie with impunity and face no legal consequences for perjury. At the same time they wanted the intimidate the Republicans into not asking any tough question be an experianced female prosecutor so they could enrage women and mobilize them for the election
Looks like they may have failed and Grassley threaded the needle on this one

I don’t much care for this guy, but at this stage I’m convinced that Mitch McConnell is so royally p*ssed that he is fully capable of bribing, threatening or strong-arming Murkowski into a yea.

It’s the full Senate vote that counts. Maybe they don’t want a committee hearimg because that locks in members on that. They can still blackmail their targets and go to plan C...delay the confirmation vote with more and more liars coming out of the woodwork
I think Grassley may be handling this situation much more adroitly than I have thought previously.
At this point, not even the liberal media can honestly claim that the hearing has been rushed.
Whether or not she appears on Thursday, it’s a win for the Republicans. If she fails to show up, it is an admission she has no evidence. If she does show up, she will be destroyed by whatever female prosecutor questioning her.
The Democrats badly overplayed their hand and have motivated the Republican electorate to show up and vote. This farce many even demotivate the Democrat base because most Democrats see this process as an abortion of justice.
Since she is not on trial for any charges, she really doesn’t need to worry about getting a “fair and credible hearing”. Only Kavanaugh has his life on the line here.
