Westwood One is shaking up its weekday afternoon Conservative Talk block in January 2019.
Michael Savage’s “The Savage Nation” will cut back from three hours to one hour daily from 3-4pm eastern while Ben Shapiro takes over the 4-6pm slot. Cumulus launched Ben Shapiro on six stations in April including a live clearance on 770 WABC New York and delayed clearances on WMAL Washington DC, WLS Chicago, WYAY Atlanta, and KABC Los Angeles. The live show will be separate from Shapiro’s daily podcast.
It is that daily podcast/live broadcast model that Savage will switch to. He will host the daily afternoon show as well as a separate daily podcast in January.

President Trump’s Easter message from 2018 is something a listener will never hear from Savage or Shapiro. Thus, Savage and Shapiro are a waste of time.

He often leaves after the second hour, leaving his poor crew to replay the first hour or something else.
He is spoiled, petty, and old. I think he is looking for a way to hawk his books that will be less demanding.
I think this is damage control being packaged as innovative marketing. I could of course be wrong.

I listened to him in the 90s. He trumpeted Borders, Language and Culture.
Since that was my own position, I listened often. He became more and more egomaniacal, and less salutary, with time.
I cannot stand that he virtually takes credit for inventing Western Civilization. His ego is off the charts.
He gratuitously attacks all other hosts (with nasty nicknames) - then complains that none of them come to his defense.
I am tired of all the main hosts, who support the Establishment RINOpublicans, but at least they do not disparage Savage.

Emotional age 5. Intellectual age 16 (a bright, curious 16).
He is educated beyond his intellect. He is genuinely intelligent, but less than he claims.
I would still like Rush, the Original, if he would be candid about the Uniparty. He knows, but he refuses. He gives them cover by claiming they are merely cowardly, not in truth complicit.

Appreciate Steve Bannon? He was tossed out of the White House on his behind for betraying President Trump and was one of the leakers, attacked Don Jr. as engaging in “treason”, etc. What’s to appreciate about that?
Rush has said there are a number of Republicans in the establishment that are in fact complicit. Your comments indicate you don’t listen to him much.
