The lawyer MUST "sabotage" her client's case.

She knows she can't let her client testify under any circumstances.

When the K team decides to use them in its defense and urges the committee to call them forward, they suddenly under oath gasp out the unpleasant truth that they also were involved in reckless booze & sex-driven parties.

The K team will not use anyone in its defense. Grassley has already said that only Ford and Kavanaugh will testify. And there will be no "defense" without first having sworn testimony from Ford -- which ain't happening.

Grassley has already said...

...quite a few important things and then waived many of them as the play has evolved.

...sworn testimony from Ford -- which ain't happening.

Ford could quite comfortably testify under oath to any aspect of the hallucination in her head and if properly coached, as she would be, do it without making a false statement.

It is the cross-exam she is concerned about. Given her background, she could endure the cross but her character would be at risk and certainly her non-responses would substantially damage her credibility. Nonetheless, the left is no doubt urging her, or paying her, to suck it up for the sake of the scam.

You and I are not making any progress, so lets just plan to politely disagree.
