The last-minute attempt to derail Brett Kavanaughs confirmation as the next Supreme Court justice has just hit a serious snag.
Facing damaging but almost completely unsubstantiated claims that he acted improperly with a girl back when he was a teenager, the conservative nominee has dug into his personal archives to defend himself.
Up until now, the vague accusations made by Christine Blasey Ford had only resulted in a he said, she said stalemate. Liberals insisted that Blasey Fords story of a bad encounter at a drunken party be believed, while conservatives have pointed out that the nearly 40-year-old claim is impossible to verify.
Finally, Kavanaugh has presented tangible evidence that the accusation doesnt hold up.

The best false accusations are the ones that cannot be replied to, and that require the accused to prove a negative rather than the accuser proving a positive.
I have read books that had a profound and long-lasting political effect on me, one of them was "Witness" by Whittaker Chambers. When I first read it, I thought it was a political book. The second time I read it, I thought it was about standing up and doing the right thing when you had every personal reason not to. But the third time I read it, I realized it was a man's search for God by a man who had not believed in God. The book is, of course, all those things, and more. (The treatment of Whittaker Chambers (and by extension, Joseph McCarthy even though he had no bearing on the Hiss episode) by the Left completely presages the treatment of Kavanaugh we see today)
"Rules for Radicals" by Alinsky was another, though it stands on a pedestal in another direction. I felt compelled to read it in June 2008 after seeing over and over again the praise for Saul Alinsky by both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
I was so repulsed by what I read, that I attempted to make an audiobook recording (there are none that I could find) to distribute to anyone who wanted a copy...copyright be damned.
Unfortunately, I simply couldn't do it. To make a book "listenable" you have to be able to read it in a voice not filled with disgust, and after a single chapter I gave up. I couldn't do it, I was so appalled by it.
I may be naive, but I believe there is a thing called honor, and a thing called truth, and I pray that if there comes a time I am called on to do the right thing with respect to honor and/or truth, that I can be a man and do what is right, even at the cost to myself...no matter the cost. I hope never to be put into that situation, but if I do, I hope I can meet it.
Reading that book filled me with so much disgust that the act of reading it made me feel unclean, but more distressing to me, was the thought that a man and woman running for the highest office in this country thought that "Rules for Radicals" was the best pen ever put to paper. I still cannot get over it.
I was further reinforced in my extreme distaste (for a man who would dedicate a book to Satan) when I read the Playboy interview of him. He bragged about stealing...was PROUD of it, when he talked about a scheme to cheat cafeterias around town out of their food.
Personally, I think most people can find some circumstance where a starving person stealing food may be justified, but Saul Alinsky wasn't starving. He simply got a kick out of stealing from someone who had more than him (the cafeteria owner) and justified it in a variety of ways in his own mind.
I found that slimy immoral sleazeball completely repulsive on every single account.
I envy your experience of having actually met and talked with him, but...not enough to actually want to have met and talked to him.
Lol
I have to wonder why he let this be known 3 days before the inquisition. 3 days is a long time now. I hope its strategy.
Things you can’t post of Facebook but you can on www.spreely.com (Speak Freely)
If they show long absences from the area during the estimated times Ford claims, they'll matter.
As was posted yesterday, Christine could not remember the day, month, year or house when this happened but she knew she was 15 years old when this happened. Hehehehehe
Glad I wasn’t drinking something when I saw this!
The dimoKKKRATS will just go through his calendar and pick a convenient date. This whole thing is just so bogus.
Looking at pictures of the drunken parties, liberal 'values' taught at the schools - and I'd say they've got lots of women with 'recoverable' memories... liars...
Wow. We are putting a DORK on the court.
Who the f^ck keeps a calendar of what they were doing in high school????
Mine was pretty much - play football, hang with friends, eat, repeat. Sometimes work. A calendar? I barely keep one now. Funny. But lame. Lame.
He shouldn’t have said the year. Unless he purposely said the wrong year?
Bring it On! Keep letting these women destroy the #metoomovement. THe more that speak up the more obvious it becomes a “get Kavanaugh tactic”.
And the Clinton Lawyers working with her.
It’s too bad there wasn’t social media back then.
yep the dims base does not care how they act, the right does, I am all for morals in all things, but learning that the game is an assault on them, just take the political blow and confirm kavanaugh and anything else that is good, what to come be damned..
“*Why* is my FB timeline filled with RAPE crap, when it started out as groping?”
For the same reason everyone the Left doesn’t like is Hitler
For the same reason a phishing attack is described as “hacking”
Because words leave associated images in the mind of the reader and these writers want to leave readers with images that help them score political points.
That they are untrue is irrelevant. That there are more accurate words is irrelevant.
But, but the Creepy Porn Lawyer says Kavanaugh and his friend, Mike Judge, were busy getting girls drunk and then pimping them out to “pull trains.”
Vote Judge Kavanaugh in now. Do an investigation after confirmation (which will show none of this happened because EVERY name Ramirez and Ford gave claims Kavanaugh did Not do this) Kavanaugh should sue Ford, Ramirez, and EVERY paper that published this without credible witnesses. Sue them out of existence....drain the media swamp. Judge Kavanaugh will be a rich man, but money will never make up for what he and his family have suffered. Especially his innocent girls. Praying for them all.
“His mom is a judge too. Im sure shes gathering evidence to prove his innocence. I cant believe the unscrupulous rats are getting away with this obvious hoax.”
My parents kept a “Baby Book” on me that they carried nearly into my young adulthood. Given the excellent student and young man Kavanaugh was, how obviously loving and concerned his parents were and are, and that they’re both lawyers and were judges, I’ll bet there’s all sorts of family memorabilia that can be used to refute most of these smears.
Which is probably why Ford won’t “testify” and they had to come up with that other fake S*** at the last minute
