Grassley knows she isn’t coming. Extend the invitation until you call for the vote on Monday.
He’s a wise old owl. I trust him.
He has to be counting votes behind the scenes and i feel that is what is holding this up.
At a certain point, if you can’t trust your own Congress (Collins, Flake, etc.) you can’t trust them. Call the vote and the let these a-holes be exposed for what they are.
I only worry that Kavanaugh won’t get his good name back.
Like Pavlov’s dog, I expect to hear the words “bully” and “arbitrary” at the sound of the 2:30 p.m. Bell.
He should grant extensions at 2 hour increment throughout the weekend, it will simply serve to make them look like fools. No vote can occur until 10:00 AM on Monday, so all of this means nothing.

Forty five more minutes until the next delay.
That’s absolutely what’s holding things up. We really have no idea what Grassley is hearing from Flake, Collins, and Murkowski so it’s completely unfair to hear so many people yelling “spineless”.
Based on Susan Collins’ “appalled” comments yesterday, this additional delay is reprimanding Trump for his Friday comment about Blaseyford.
This whole issue is completely removed from the Democrats as a political weapon as long as Christine Buzzy Ford stalls the process indefinitely. In fact, she's doing great damage to the Democrats as we sit here now.
If this process drags on and: (1) Ford doesn't show up to testify; and (2) the confirmation vote is held up indefinitely while goobers like Flake and Corker keep saying "we must hear from her" ... then Christine Buzzy Ford can't make any media appearances to tell her fake story in a venue that doesn't expose her to perjury charges.
They've probably got taped interviews of her all lined up -- produced by the Democrat propaganda machine and ready to be shown on 60 Minutes, the Today show, Loser Holt's Dateline NBC, etc. She's had extensive cosmetic surgery, cries on cue, and puts on a good show. They probably have about four hours of video clips, which they prepared for the purpose of putting no more than the best 20 minutes on the air.
But they can only put it out to attack Kavanaugh AFTER he is confirmed ... and they can't put it out AT ALL if she testifies under oath.

Extend the deadline to 09:50 Monday, then call her name - if she is there, hear her out. If not, hold the vote. Give her to the last minute LOL
I’m going to dinner tonight, but I hope to be back for the 10 pm deadline and cave. I am a big Grassley cave fan; one of the biggest comedies on TV.
Catering to Murkowski s a fool’s errand. She will withhold her vote of Ford doesn’t appear, but she will vote “No” if Ford spews our her venom.

I have said this before. If the Republicans do not confirm Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, it may have a very negative impact on voter turn out for the election.
Chuck Grassley has always been one of the very best Republican Senators . He is from Iowa which is a state which often produces wise and rock solid people, which is the case with Chuck. I trust him completely and do not doubt him one bit.
