The workers must not have had any legal representation or advocacy. If there was such legal representation involved on behalf of the workers, those lawyers must have been owned by the unions.

The workers should be able to sue for all union fees illegally taken from them.
It’s for situations like this one, that the majority of workers today want nothing to do with a Labor Union when the choice is their own. You will always have at least 33% that obediently follows the herd no matter what happens, and keeps their misplaced loyalty in all Labor Unions.
Some Unions are beneficial, many others are corrupt.

It would be better to import vegetables rather than import the 3rd world stoop labor to pick them here.

I wish someone with some power would enact a lawsuit against NPR/PBS receiving taxpayer funding when it can proven they are a propaganda wing of the rat party. We the taxpayers help to fund the very propaganda machine which opposes the conservatives amongst us. And apparently Congress is never going to do a thing about it, because they’re scared of all the leftists who would start screaming about Sesame Street and such (as if even these children’s shows don’t have a blatantly leftist agenda, like teaching kids that they can “choose” their “gender”).

Back in the 70’s when McGovern was running for President, Chevez was trying to get the farm workers a union. I remember McGovern saying: “I’m not going to eat another salad until the farm workers are unionized!”

A sociology prof who I debated current events with came in and said how happy she was about the boycott. I told her it was exactly the wrong thing to do. The conversation went like this:

Her: It is NOT the wrong thing to do!
Me: If the boycott is successful, what will happen to the price of lettuce?
Her: It will drop.
Me: If that happens, what just happened to the farmers’ ability to give a wage increase?
Her: Err...it falls.
Me: What if George had instead said he was going to eat five salads a day and everyone else should do the same. What would happen to the demand for lettuce?
Her: It would go up.
Me: And since you can’t grow new lettuce overnight, what would happen to the price of lettuce?
Her: It would go up.
Me: What would happen to the farmers ability to pay a higher wage?
Her: Err...it would increase.
Me: And what happens to the cost to the farmer of not paying them to pick the lettuce and it rots in the field?
Her. Err...it gets more expensive.
Me: So, Geoge should be telling people to eat more lettuce, not less, if he wants them to unionize, right?
Her: ...That may be so, but I don’t believe it!!

Whereupon she would stomp out of my office. Liberals don’t think...they react. Their economics is statis: the economic pie is fixed and the only way for those at the bottom to get more of the pie is to take it away from someone else with more income.

Conservatives know that policies that encourage economic growth increases the size of the pie, so that even if your share of the pie doesn’t increase, your standard of living rises. They can’t grasp the concept that a rising tide lifts all boats.

Debating with a liberal is like trying to smell the color 9.

If the union kept collecting dues for five years after losing the election so badly, shouldn’t the workers be entitled to have all of that dues money returned to them? Perhaps with interest?

And not just interest, but treble damages for punitive. Having to give back money you stole is restitution, not punishment, and it's not a deterrent. If the worst outcome if you steal, act in astronomically bad faith, and get caught is to put the money back, what have you got to lose? How about some RICO indictments against any individuals that knew and sat on it, either in the union or in the government?

This is like Clinton saying she had 3 million more votes when the real results was massive fraud in LA county in California. State officials of course knew about the fraud.

Sue the union for the dues withheld x3 as punishment for the failure to disclose the results.

California farm workers voted out their union by a 5-1 margin in 2013, but state regulators withheld those results until a federal court ordered them released.

I'm betting the corrupt New York Times and knee-pad boys at the Washington Post WILL NOT PICK UP THIS STORY.
