I don’t know if the Court’s schedule really has anything to do with this. It would be great to have him confirmed by October 1st when the next SCOTUS term begins, but if he isn’t seated by then it’s not like he can’t vote on any court rulings during the term. He just has to do a lot of work in a compressed schedule to get caught up on those cases.
No conditions. None. Show up and tell your story. That’s it. If we bend anymore to this human garbage we might as well give up any hope of ever seating another Supreme Court Justice period.
If he is not there for the oral arguments, he will have to recuse himself from any such case.
