Montana Sen. Jon Tester, a red state Democrat running for re-election in one of the closest Senate contests this year, has campaigned as a big hunting proponent, sending out mailers to voters that show him on his farm with his gun in hand.
As we gear up for hunting season, Montanans know that hunting isnt just a sport it feeds our families, and it creates lifelong memories with our kids and grandkids, Tester says in the campaign flier. Montanans are lucky to have some of the best access, longest seasons and greatest hunting in the world.
But according to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks records reviewed by Fox News, Tester hasnt had a hunting license in six years. He last had one in 2012 the same year he was last on the ballot.

This is a Nothing Burger.
If I recall correctly at least here in Ohio if you’re hunting on family land you don’t need a license. Back in the day when I used to hunt on my uncle’s land no license was required.
Man, you gotta say it right.
Can you say,
“Kin ah git me uh huntin’ licen’ heah?”
Yes, I knew you could.
He forgot to ask where he can get him a huntin’ license.
I have probably been voting against democrats longer than you have been alive; a state GOP delegate twice, precinct captain several times, and I have volunteered for phone banks where, by the way, you really are expected to know something. I am not a sucker but you are a very rude person. Attacking a democrat candidate because he says he loves hunting but has not done so recently (maybe because he is getting older and is no longer physically fit enough to really enjoy it) is just plain silly, and we look like fools when we focus on things like this. Personally, I am far more interested in a Senator’s position on matters that affect this country, and if a Senator says he enjoys hunting or any other sport, even if he has not done so recently, so be it.
People in Montana better wake up, quick like!
Another “where do I get me one of those Huntin’ Licenses” situations.
It’s 2004 all over again. All that’s missing is the Silk Pony and the Swift Boat Vets.
Well, how much hunting is done in those obscenely rich DC suburbs?
I don’t trust a Hunter who believes in Gun Control, even “common sense” Gun Control (whatever the hell that is).
Of course, any Democrat can’t be trusted.
You guys are jumping to conclusions. You think he hasn’t hunted since he doesn’t have a license. I think he has hunted. He just doesn’t bother with a license like the little people do.
If you were in Nam, your guys would have fragged you in your first week.
What a wuss.
How can you believe any demonRAT about anything, if their lips are moving, they are lying.
Yawn.
Not having gotten a hunting license while he’s in DC would be about 47th on my list of reasons not to vote for him.
You actually posted in a forum that you trust a Democrat senator.
I might be rude, but you’re just plain...
I’ll let you try and figure it out.
I love to fish but circumstance has kept me off the water for the past two years. I’m not going to buy a license if I can’t use it.
The question I’d ask Tester is this: What make do you have? Also, do you believe in the right to bear arms? I’d ask him about his gun if he has one...
Alinsky the HELL out of this bugger
