And the GOP response hasn’t changed much either. What Grassley says here is the same thing the GOP said when Democrats demanded more documents, i.e. we’re not delaying this confirmation. As Grassley put it above, Ford’s opportunity to be heard is Monday. There’s no need for additional delay, not for the FBI and not because Ford is worried about TV cameras. She can tell her story in open session or closed session but she can tell it on Monday. And if she refuses to show up, the vote should proceed without further delay.

Yep, this is all chess moves. Dems really were idiots to think they could use the FBI as cover for delaying things. I suppose Brett gets in on a party line vote at the end of the day? I think its a damn shame. Politics needs to get back to debating issues in good faith, and if democrats win some rounds on that basis, I’d have no issue with it, but this stuff, the Democrats should be ashamed and I have to imagine some are.

As far as I know she never mentioned it to her parents, and it wasn’t reported to the police. The tale she tells, appeared for the first time during a 2012 session of couples’ therapy where she mentioned it to her therapist. And the therapist’s notes do not match with the story she is telling. She cannot remember when it happened, where it happened, who owned the house it allegedly happened in, or how she even got there. If you’re so shaken by an incident, to the point where it interferes with living your life (she claims she was derailed), how do you not remember where or when such a traumatic event occurred?

She is not being given an advantage. A closed door session eliminats ny excuse for heer not appearing. She HAS to show up to be credible which she is not going to do. So we win.

We have no such right. Kavanaugh has rights, Senators have rights, the President has the right to nominate or de-nominate based on what the woman says.
The alternative, a public hearing, would be a circus, worse than 1991. There's no way she will look bad or make a mistake. She has practiced her story since 2012 when she prepared it for a Romney presidency. She will be smooth as silk.
I agree. But, this woman wants to open a specific investigation, which is nonsense and would come back clean. However, an investigation into him specifically would not be good for his file for the reason I said in my earlier post.

Only according to a person nobody heard of on twitter who says he heard it from someone else who he doesn't name who is supposedly usually accurate. If it was more than that, someone can correct me, but that's all I read yesterday.
