Full title: Another Delay Tactic: Dianne Feinstein is Now Demanding Dozens of Witnesses Testify Against Kavanaugh
Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee Dianne Feinstein is rejecting efforts by Chairman Chuck Grassley to hear from Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct during high school, in an open hearing Monday.
"Chairman Grassley said today there would be only two witnesses invited to testify at the Kavanaugh hearing next week on sexual assault allegations. Compare that to the 22 witnesses at the 1991 Anita Hill hearing and it's impossible to take this process seriously," Feinstein released in a statement. "What about other witnesses like Kavanaugh's friend Mark Judge? What about individuals who were previously told about the incident? What about experts who can speak to the effects of this kind of trauma on a victim? This is a another attempt by Republicans to rush this nomination and not fully vet Judge Kavanaugh."
Feinstein, who keeps releasing bombastic statements, has turned down a number of media interviews in recent days and has not spoken publicly about Ford's accusation.
Grassley said during an interview with Salem Radio host Hugh Hewitt Tuesday morning that Ford, despite multiple attempts, has not responded to requests for testimony on Monday. Kavanaugh has accepted the invitation to testify.
"We still haven't heard from Dr. Ford, so do they want to have the hearing or not?" Grassley said during an interview with Salem Radio host Hugh Hewitt Tuesday morning. "We have reached out to her in the last 36 hours, three or four times by email and we have not heard from them. It kind of raises the question do they want to come to the public hearing or not? The reason we're having the public hearing is obviously, well number one, accusations like this deserve consideration and looking into and that's what the purpose of the hearing is. We wouldn't be having the hearing if Dr. Ford told the Washington Post and other people publicly she wanted to testify."

The first step back to sanity is to have a Republican Senator say, "A 17 year old boy tried to get the top off of a girl? And THAT'S your big deal?"
Until that happens, this will be used over and over again.
These hearings are solely for picking off squishy Republicans who will grow weary of the process dragging on and who just want it to stop.

I’ll add one thing that won’t be popular to our side. There was an opening during obozo’s term (9 months left in his second one) that McConnell blocked citing election year precedence.
While I agree with McConnell on this; I can almost understand the left’s intense desire to block Judge BK by any means they can. I hate ‘em for it but I can understand it (a little). They think this election will change everything in congress so then they will have all the power and we can bet they will not use it wisely if that does happen.
I wish our side would fight for us as hard as the left fights for their base.

Grassley needs to grow a pair and just tell this evil, old crone that there will be NO hearings past the one this coming Monday (if that one is even held). The time for hearings is past.
Frankly, he ought to consider having her removed from the Judiciary Committee for failing to disclose this latest bit of “information” that she has had since July.
This statement shows that her argument has no merit:
“What about experts who can speak to the effects of this kind of trauma on a victim?”
That is totally irrelevant to the question of whether BK is guilty of the specific thing he is charged with.
And the woman has already said she told NOBODY about this for 30 years, and by the fact that nobody else brought out this story until now, it is also clear that she told nobody about this after 2012.
So far as we can tell, before July, the only people who “knew” about what she was alleging where her, her husband, and a couples therapist. And we have the therapist’s written record, which doesn’t match the story, or give any names.
So, sure, let’s have the husband submit something that says his wife said BK’s name to him in 2012, after 10 years of marriage where she said nothing and when he didn’t notice she had a lifetime traumatic event.
And yes, it might be nice to have a sworn affidavit from Ford, the person she claims as a witness, saying it never happened.
I don’t see why any republican would fear this in the present state. We have a story from a woman. She has provided only two pieces of information that could possibly be corroberated, that there was a party with her and BK, and that a witness saw BK attack her.
But BK says there was no party, and the witness says he wasn’t a witness to anything.
Given that the lawyer involved is a Soros lawyer, I can only assume they are working very hard trying to find some other person who first, would lie for money, and second, who is obscure enough that nobody will know them and refute THEIR claim.
Meanwhile, we have 65 contempoporary women from BK’s high school days saying he was nothing like that; the other side has 200 graduates of HER school over 30 years, who say they all heard stories like the one she is telling, and that many of them had the same trauma.
Which I guess the left thinks is damning, but it really just shows that a LOT of people at HER HIGH SCHOOL could be convinced that something like this happened to them; and that lots of people at her high school TALKED about stuff like this happening, which raises MORE questions about why she did not.
