The FBI can’t investigate a 36 year old event involving inebriated minors where the statute of limitation is long gone.

This is at best a civil matter.

If Ford testifies under oath, she can be sued for defamation. There will be no offers of immunity for possible perjury or making a false report.

Ms. Ford had best be very careful.

Not even that. It’s like a football player filing assault charges against the guy that tackled him.

Unfortunately, in many states there is no statute of limitations if the “victim” is a minor. I don’t know what the laws are in Maryland, but since it is a very liberal state this may well be prosecutable, and there is a real chance the DA of whatever county this alleged act occurred, might decide to arrest Kavanaugh. This is very serious for him, he could easily end up in prison rather than sitting on the supreme court. Many people in this country have no idea how corrupt our legal justice system is; the corruption starts at the bottom. That is why I would love to see this morph into a hearing on false recovered memory syndrome. There are a lot of innocent men, and more than a few women, languishing for years in our prison systems because of these allegations made years and years after the supposed incident. The problem you see is this: How do you, years and years later, prove you did not do something. Potential witnesses are dead or not able to be located, paperwork proving where you actually where, have long since been thrown away, family members who should support the victim of the allegation, may well be caught up in the poisonous hysteria and unable to help, etc.

That bears repeating, but Ford would not likely be prosecuted if the Dems take control of the House and Senate. The DOJ is apparently run by Obama operatives. She likely would not be prosecuted.
