Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley on Tuesday raised the possibility that next week’s high-stakes open hearing to examine the sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh could be canceled if the accuser doesn’t accept the committee’s invitation.
Grassley, R-Iowa, scheduled a hearing for Monday for Kavanaugh and accuser Christine Blasey Ford to answer questions from senators about the allegation. But Grassley said during a Tuesday radio interview that his office has reached out several times to Ford and her attorneys to discuss her allegation, but has heard nothing back.

Drawing out the drama - keeping the fake news in a lather.

IIRC, due to Anita Hill circus, the Judiciary Committee did not even vote on Judge Thomas, and just passed him along for the full Senate vote.
If she waits ‘til Monday to respond, the confirmation vote is held up for four days.
Each day K is not confirmed is another day that new allegations could surface from incidents that happened in the Stone Age.
Ford’s proponents will hold and presser and say she will not testify before a thorough investigation is done into the matter. They know this will not be done, so they can ride “the GOP doesn’t care about assaults on women” to the midterms. It’s all a PR stunt to gin up the female vote.
I bet something hidden in her past is out in the internet and she is freaking out. Women always tell their secrets to someone.
Dems have learned a lot from their “Father” of lies.
“Hath God said?” was the first injection of doubt in human kind.

Why Wednesday?
She agrees or not. If she wants to derail his nomination, then she should be ready to go. She’s had MONTHS, if not YEARS, to conjure up a story.

Truth is she never intended to testify. That’s why they waited until after the hearing process has cease.
This all about scaring off the lib GOP senators and delaying the vote.
If this is under oath....she’ll decline because she’ll be questioned about the specifics that she can’t provide.

Hold the hearing regardless.
Allow Kavanaugh the chance to answer questions and clear his name. Allow the friend - who was named by Ford as being present - to appear under oath and testify it never happened. Allow his girlfriends to testify they dated him then and never saw this behavior.
If she doesn’t show, it speaks for itself. She’s afraid to appear because she’s lying and will be exposed.
She scrubbed her social media. That likely had far left SCOTUS comments and other damning info.
Canceling the hearing is a mistake. Leaves the cloud present. Hold it and she can show or not show.
I really don't think that tactic is going to work except on those who were voting Democrat anyway. There was some anti-me too backlash even before this, and what's happened to Kavanaugh is pretty much the worst case of unfairness. If she refuses to testify under oath despite Republicans delaying the vote to give her the chance to do so, that's a political win for the GOP.

I’m not convinced the cowards of the Senate, the Republicans, have the votes. In fact I believe they do not.
Based on the accusation alone, and the fact it is election season.
She is probably concerned about the circus she has now created
and loads of hate mail. If she thinks she was unable to function for 4 years due to her her teenage grope fantasy, just wait until Congress puts her through the mill.
Before she accepts, they need to make sure all the holes in her fictional story are filled and at the same time, dredge up some corroborating witnesses and/or other "victims" of Judge Kavanaugh.
It's clearly obvious. It's right out of the Democrats' playbook and as predictable as the sun rising.
As transparent as this is as a delaying/defamation tactic you need to wonder? The only way to get her there is a subpoena.

Absolutely. FineSwine should be removed form the committee immediately...like, right now....should be removed the day she pulled that crap.
And IF this beotch and her ilk do not come forward with their solid proof/evidence in a very timely manner, go straight to the vote and be done with it...move on. Meantime, IF she doesn’t come forward, she should be sued to the fullest extent of the law for defamation of character, liable and slander...whatever sticks. Let it be a lesson to the next bimbo that the RATs/UniParty drag up for a lie.

Doesn’t matter. Flake will still go off the rail and Collins will be Collins, which is what they were going to do anyway, they just needed an excuse.
