If Kavanaugh Goes Down, It’s Probably Impossible To Confirm A New Nominee This Year
dailycaller.com ^ | 09/17/2018

As Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court appeared in genuine peril Monday, Republicans are left to grapple with a second problem — confirming a new justice in the event of Kavanaugh’s defeat.

Should Kavanaugh’s nomination falter, the Trump administration has little hope of installing a new justice on the high court before the end of the year, and less still should Democrats seize control of the Senate in the midterm elections.

As The Daily Caller News Foundation fact checker Emily Larsen has shown, the Senate took an average of 67 days to confirm the last nine Supreme Court justices. Based on that schedule, time does not allow the Senate to confirm a replacement nominee ahead of the November midterm elections, particularly in view of the fact that President Donald Trump will likely take several days — if not considerably longer — to select a new candidate.

If he goes down, I blame McConnell and Grassley for playing into Feinstein’s hands.

Nominate Judge Pirro. Let’s see these Dems attack a black woman.

If Kavanaugh goes down, all the Democrats have to do to defeat any conservative nominee from this point forward is present a transparent lie.

In other words, there will only be Democrat nominees approved from now until the end of time.

I doubt they will defeat him, and I certainly hope not . . . but if the midterms come about with an open SCOTUS seat, every senate race just got easier for republicans. that would turn out the base.

Fire Sessions and nominate Clarence Thomas to replace him. Payback.

In another thread, it seems Feinstein has stated there is more coming out about Kavanaugh.

“If Kavanaugh Goes Down, It’s Probably Impossible To Confirm A New Nominee This Year”

Some Republican senators are already on the list for failing to get votes. They’d better straighten up real fast.

According to this Democrat publication tracking senators for the deluge of messages from manhaters and homos, the following Republicans (who bow to the feminist left) want more information and to hear testimony from Blasey and Kavanaugh.

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/9/17/17870570/kavanaugh-vote-delay-senate-tracker

Roy Blunt (R-MO)

Susan Collins (R-ME)

Bob Corker (R-TN)

Jeff Flake (R-AZ)

Graham (R-SC)

Charles Grassley (R-IA)

Orrin Hatch (R-UT)

Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)

He is not likely to go down, but if he does, Trump should nominate Amy Coney Barrett, Anul Thakar, or Raymond Kittledge.

.... This has been the plan of the Democrat/Socialist Party all along

.... Heck ....They are professionals at pressing the right buttons when needed .....

..... The Republicans, on the other hand, are only experts at bickering among themselves, destroying each other ..... And trying and attempting to respond to the professional Democrat/Socialist tactics thrown at them .... Then collectively sitting around in the aftermath totally dazed and confused wondering ..... "What the Heck Just Happened" ....

The accuser told the Washington Post the names of the other two high school boys at the party, in addition to Judge and Kavanaugh.

Also, the accused has said there was another girl at the party.

Why is the media so uninterested in these other people at the supposed party? Why haven’t we heard from them?

Perhaps the plan is to have the accuser and Kavanaugh testify on Monday, and then afterward these other people suddenly come forward in the Washington Post to accuse Kavanaugh of testifying falsely, and then another hearing is scheduled after a week or two for these other people to testify.

Delay, delay, delay.

All Republican senators need to realize that this confirmation vote is once in a century turning point for America and our constitution. Collins, Murkowski, Flake, Corker, et al, all need to forget about their personal grudges and political animosities and do what’s best for the constitution and for all of us. For America. Do not allow this blatant democrat smear campaign to succeed.

"Also, the accused has said there was another girl at the party."

But she still can't remember the date it happened, the house it happened in, or who the house belonged to. How can she have such clear memories of other aspects of the alleged incident?

Investigations are supposed to uncover: Who, what, where, when, why, and how. This doesn't make the cut.
