A leader of the "Never Trump" movement has no plans to let President Trump run for re-election without first facing a primary opponent.

Bill Kristol told CNBC in an interview published Friday that his nonprofit Defending Democracy Together is seeking a Republican to challenge Trump in 2020.

"People aren't going to say they will run against Trump unless they have the infrastructure, but I've been trying to persuade people that it may not be that difficult,” he said.

Bill Kristol should run. He’ll discover how few people in the country trust him... maybe that’ll make him shut up...

I wonder if Bill has taken to craiglist yet to post an opening in order to find his candidate?

I don't think the other McCain (John) is eligible to run any more (at least not in the Republican Party), but he can still vote (if he plays his cards right, and votes for demonicrats).

Don’t know why you want to go there, but it seems like it would be the other way around.

I hear Jeff The Flake is available in 2020.

There is not a pair in The DC Swamp more despicable than Kristol and Flake.

Here’s your chance, let us know who should replace Trump as the GOP nominee.

Senator Ben Sasse would be a logical choice, not that I think he would win.

Where it mattered, and when it mattered, McCain didn't vote with republicans. Every once in a while he voted with republicans on some bills, but that was mainly to not give away his true feelings and true political affiliation, where he acted more like liberals.
