Californians drive more than 300 billion miles a year. Achieving carbon neutrality would require most, if not all, of that travel to shift into electric-powered transit systems and electric-powered cars.

And California just gave driver's licenses to one million illegal aliens. They are all driving Teslas I suppose.

What’s the carbon footprint of the Slow Speed Rail construction project?

Brown’s legacy will be Californians sweltering or shivering in their darkened homes and a mass exodus of hard working average people and businesses leaving the state. The Hollywood elite will hardly notice.

How many people have fled California? How many companies?

Doing to California what Hugo Chavez did for Venezuala. I must confess that some people’s attraction to starvation and oppression eludes me.

Gee...

One wonders what “financial sacrifices” Governor Moonbeam and His Chosen Libs are making.

I mean, after all, they’re SO quick to demand financial sacrifices from the Working Man - you know, the ones who can LEAST afford to make any MORE sacrifices, after paying for all the other “free stuff” liberals want to give to illegals and every other Victim Grievance Oppressed group...

But hey, yeah, Democrats are “for the working man, the little guy”, after all.

Electricity comes from electricity mines did you know. /sarc

Speaking of electric vehicles, power companies should be required by law to list main raw power sources on bill.

“Those issues will be confronted, if at all, long after Brown has moved into his carbon-neutral retirement home in the Colusa County foothills.”

Bullcrap.

NONE of the battery powered cars in production today is carbon neutral when you account for the fossil fuel used in the mining and transport of raw materials, conversion to steel, glass and plastic, along with fossil electricity used all along the way. There is simply no efficiency possible to offset all that OUTSOURCED, unaccounted-for embedded carbon used.

It’s as if they saw the tax savings of Trump to the average guy, and decided to make sure to burn that up on some pie in the sky idea or another.

The state of California leadership is essentially a criminal enterprise.

The more you look at what they have done, the more obvious it is.

“..Colusa County foothills...”

Not knowing California too well, I take that “Colusa County foothills” is NOT your typical “Working Man/Little Guy” bastion neighborhood...

Gee... Moonbeam’s really sufferin’ and sacrificin’, aint he?

Higher taxes and higher prices. They will mask the fact that CA is giving money away to those who don’t earn it.

Jerry Brown publicly denies harboring thoughts of the legacy of his record 16 years as California’s governor.

Perhaps Gov. Brown should change his name to Don Quixote, known for charging windmills and imaginary foes.

It looks to me like Brown may be worse than those of Don Quixote because Don's policies were based on imaginary problems. Brown's baseless policies are affecting all the citizens of California with higher taxes and unnecessary sacrifices.

Climate change is caused by the Sun, not by you.

That is ‘require financial sacrifices’ from tax paying Californians to reduce their free livelihood and empower the almighty state

Not from the state Socialist apparatchik in power or any of its minions,

I have to wonder if anyone knows of any Business in recent years that has relocated to California (at all) or for that matter anyone that has voluntarily moved to California from another State? This cant end well,

IF there was an election to vote on everything the Democrats are shoving down our throats today the shoved would be told to shove it.

Although Californians are leading the rest of the country in the purchasing of electric cars they are minuscule in the overall picture of automobiles on California’s highways, and byways. Strike #one!

California had to go to give-away State programs to shove Solar down the throats of California’s home owners. Nobody wants the damned things. Strike #2!

California had to come up with an extremely bizarre electrical billing system with penalties per plateau of usage that in turn were penalized to the point a home owner, retired, in the hot Summer months can realize an electrical bill in excess of $500.00 per month. Strike #3.

I’m certain other Californians can come up with many more reasons the Democrat led legislature of California has totally struck out, and needs radical change.

Oregon has no sales tax - we keep rejecting it because we have high property taxes and they’ll probably just add more tax. At Safeway the other day there was a note to vote no on some proposition to keep food tax free. So I asked the clerk and he said they’re trying to tax food to make up for the federal tax cut. I said they could cut spending if they don’t have enough money.

But I can’t figure out how the federal tax cut affects Oregon’s budget. I’m thinking this is an excuse to make an end run.
