“When Trump visited the island territory last October, OFFICIALS told him in a briefing 16 PEOPLE had died from Maria.” The Washington Post. This was long AFTER the hurricane took place. Over many months it went to 64 PEOPLE. Then, like magic, “3000 PEOPLE KILLED.” They hired....

10:05 PM - 14 Sep 2018

....GWU Research to tell them how many people had died in Puerto Rico (how would they not know this?). This method was never done with previous hurricanes because other jurisdictions know how many people were killed. FIFTY TIMES LAST ORIGINAL NUMBER - NO WAY! 10:23 PM - 14 Sep 2018

They used to call Puerto Rico the poorhouse of the Caribbean. My parents went there yrs ago. Other than the beautiful resorts and golf courses, the place was pretty much a dump. San Juan was a lot like the South Bronx with palm trees.

Puerto Rico as of 2018 has a population of 3,659,007 with a mortality rate of 8.6 per thousand per year (.86%/yr).

In any given week, 605 people die there. (3659007 x .0086 x 1/52). OF. NATURAL. CAUSES. (or murder, suicide, etc...)

3,000 people died of non-hurricane causes from September 20 (landfall) until October 25 (three weeks after Trump’s visit).

——The 3,000 number came from a university computer simulation.-——

Well, that settles it.....computer simulations are always correct....

Just like global warning computer models all agree what the temp will be in 100 years...

See Al Gore was right after all ....

You forgot to count the zombies on the payroll from Soros groups. Those add up to 3,000. Soros budgeted for that many.
After the storm the zombies went back to movie sets.

That terrific video is going to be my 2nd favorite-—after Hillary wobbling and collapsing and being loaded into the SUV like a sack of turnips.

If those Weather Channel liberals and Al Gore hadn’t saved us all from global warming we wouldn’t be here to be ashamed of ourselves for drinking beverages through straws.

THAT number is approaching ten thousand. The dust was at nano particle scale and contained everything you can imagine, including the molecules of the victims.

Yes, the hurricane simulation was done at George Washington University.

It’s good you are volunteering -

I don’t have a problem with Trump calling out the fake news - he stands up for himself. If more Republicans did that instead of trying to appease liberals - they’d win more elections.

Just because something happened a year ago, that doesn’t mean we should let it go. Spygate happened two years ago. Ben Ghazi happened six years ago. There are hundreds of fake news lies that have been allowed to stand. In a few years, these lies will be considered part of history and they’ll be taught to our granchildren in school as though they are facts.

Trump calls out lies when he sees them - it’s a good thing.

IMHO

It was a trap to bring up a lie .
Trump handled it wrong .

We do not need to give the Dems and there Media more
distraction issues to whine and play victim .

That is there strategy .

Trump is not helping.

In FL,we have a well funded liar.

Trump needs to not feed the enemy the Media more ammo.
And he did

“Trump handled it wrong.”

I disagree for reasons already stated - but I do wish you good luck in Florida.

That was the illegal immigrants, cleverly disguised as Puerto Ricans, knowing that the stupid gringos won’t know the difference between a Puerto Rican and a Honduran or Mexican. They all speak Spanish, so they all look alike. So the illegal aliens, unused to hurricanes, stayed out of doors to enjoy the breeze, and were swept away by the thousands. Stupid gringos./s

That 3000 number are the people no longer alive in PR due to the storm.

No, the 3000 is a number determined statistically. The total deaths were 16,608. They then decided there should have only been 13,633. Therefore there were 2,975 who died "due to the storm". But it is bullshit. First because their guess at the 8% population drop during the period is based on surveys of airline passengers (e.g. asking them if they are leaving for good or coming back). That is crap data. Second because the people left behind were poor and sick and more likely to die.

a massive unreported death toll wasn't amongst the things I heard about.

No, you are not correct about how they estimated the 3000. They did it by guessing that 8% of Puerto RIcans left and didbn't come back. In the remaining population there were 16,608 deaths. There was not a massive unreported death toll. There was a 16,608 report death toll. They then took the 8% lower population, and the previous years' mortality rates (same 6 month interval) and calculated that 13,633 should have died.

But the 8% decline in population is just a WAG based on "airline pasenger surveys". There is no indication that those were even barely adequate or whether the people surveyed who said they were leaving for good changed their minds later. The 8% is a junk number. Futhermore the wealthy and healthy left changing the demographics.

Also, are there Death Certificates to match the victims’ names?

There are 16,608 death certficates. But the "researchers" didn't read them. They merely assumed that because the population allegedly dropped by 279,744 then there should have only been 13,633 deaths. But their estimate of the population drop is crap, done by surveying airline passengers.
